Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive paperweight This was my brother's TV & I was given this TV after he passed passed away. Had no manual, cannot find one on the internet so it is completely worthless to me. May be easy for a techie to figure out but not me. I want this worthless paperweight out of my living room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vivid picture! Have had this tv for about a year, and so far it has been wonderful. The picture has been brilliant with amazing colors and clarity. The magic remote is a great feature in pairing with the smart features. This product represents the brand well.

Is a sound bar necessary OLED 65? Kevin

Asked by: Kevin F souza
Unlike the bot-like answer before mine, I say YES, you need a sound bar. We bought our tv while living in a 2br apartment. The living room wasn't very big, the floors hard (not carpeted) and our couch was no more than 5 feet away from the tv. The sound was still pretty thin and pathetic, so I bought a soundbar out of necessity. With speakers being on the back of TVs and models getting thinner and thinner, quality built-in speakers are pretty much extinct. Just don't buy a Sonos. They're built to not easily pair wirelessly to your tv or pair with your phone app, forcing you to physically connect your soundbar (which doesn't allow you access sound equalizer settings) OR purchase a doodad that will help you connect but costs more $$. So yes, I highly recommend speakers, just get some quality ones.

Hi, I have been told that Burn-in issue has been only in the past (2017). Newest LG TV doesn't have this problem. is that correct? Has LG fixed the burn in permanently? Does LG gives full guarantee and warranty against burn in?

Asked by: Ammar223222
Hi Ammarhsn. I have a 2015 OLED that my children have played games on and it does not show any sign of burn-in or image retention. Burn-in is not covered under warranty for our OLEDs because under normal use as a video display or games display, OLED technology does not suffer from permanent image retention. Burn-in and image retention are possible on virtually any display. However, with an LG OLED TV, any risk of burn-in or image retention have been addressed through the use of technology that not only helps protect against damage to the screen but features self-healing properties so that any short-term image retention that may occur is quickly rectified. It is rare for an average TV consumer to create an environment that could result in burn-in. Most cases of burn-in in televisions is a result of static images or on-screen elements displaying on the screen uninterrupted for many hours or days at a time – with brightness typically at peak levels. So, it is possible to create image retention in almost any display if one really tries hard enough. And even if image retention does occur from extreme usage, it can usually be mitigated within a short period of time by turning the display off for a while, and watching a few hours of varying content (such as your standard TV watching and channel-surfing). Additionally, LG OLED TVs come with special features and settings to preserve image quality and prevent burn-in and image retention. First, in the OLED Panel Settings, there is the Pixel Refresher that calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your TV has been turned on for a long time. Calibration takes more than an hour. The second feature that can be employed is the SCreen Shift which a feature that moves the screen slightly at regular intervals to prevent image sticking on the display panel. A third option is the Logo Luminance Adjustment, which can detect static logos on the screen and reduce brightness to help decrease permanent image retention...^IFV

Does this have a 120hz refresh rate?

Asked by: brannon
Refresh rate is an LED LCD specification. OLEDs have a native 120 Hertz panel and have a refresh rate of as low as 0.001 ms which for reference is around 1,000 times faster that a standard LED LCD panel. ^CP
