LG ELECTRONICS ENHANCES HOME APPLIANCE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO WITH AVAILABILITY OF INNOVATIVE RANGE LINE

Offers Greater Capacity, Added Convenience and a Stylish Design that Really "Cooks"
NEW YORK --- December 14, 2005 --- Building on its extensive and ever-growing home appliance product portfolio, LG Electronics, a leading global consumer products manufacturer, raises the bar with the availability of its first range offering for the U.S. market. On display at the company's 2006 preview event in New York City, the new LG Range completes the company's full-kitchen portfolio, which also includes dishwashers, refrigerators and microwave ovens.

The availability of the LG Range completes our "full-kitchen" offering and reinforces LG's commitment to delivering premium, high-performance home appliances," said Teddy Hwang, President of Digital Appliances for LG Electronics, U.S.A. "The availability of our full-kitchen is another LG milestone as we drive to deliver advanced functionality and define the future of the home appliance industry."
The new LG Range delivers superior cooking versatility with added convenience, making it easier than ever for consumers to achieve great cooking results. With a 5.6 cubic foot capacity, it is one of the largest ovens available, providing the space needed for large family dinners, entertaining and special events. Further, the large-capacity oven still fits in the standard 30-inch footprint, so no kitchen modifications are needed.
Featuring a sleek, sophisticated design, common throughout LG's product lines, the electric LG Range is available in a variety of finishes to suit any kitchen style and match other LG appliances. The product also features a blue interior cavity to enhance its premium feel.

The electric LG Range offers a wide variety of advanced options, including:
- EvenJet Plus A new advanced convection system that distributes air evenly throughout the oven for better cooking performance
- IntuiTouch Digital Control  Easy to navigate control system that groups cook top and oven functions in a logical, user-friendly format
- Expandable heating elements (6- to 12-inches) to accommodate different sized pots and pans
- Programmable "favorites" option to record frequently used settings; ability to recall with the push of a button
- Warming or storage drawer option
- True color glass-top surface for easy cleaning
- Extra large WideView oven window
- Contoured handles on oven door provide polished look
- Standard- and split-rack settings provide multiple cooking options
- Smart oven light eliminates guesswork by flashing when the preheating process is complete

Available at retail Q1 2006, the LG Range comes in a variety of finishes, including smooth white, smooth black and stainless steel, at a manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from $999 to $1,399.

Products specifications and pricing are subject to change.
