LG Electronics To Showcase Latest Trends At IFA 2006

Underscoring its growing European brand presence and reputation as technology leader, LG Electronics (LG), a global leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, will unveil its latest hit products at IFA 2006 which runs from 1 to 6 September in Berlin. One of the main highlights is LG's line up of new Plasma and LCD TV with built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR), which will be launched from September. The new Plasma and LCD TVs include a built-in pause function that stops live broadcast with just one click on the remote control. Demonstrations will be given eight times per day, each 15 minutes. Under the theme 'Change the Way You Watch TV', LG is defining its stature as leader in Plasma and LCD TV and next generation technology.

LG Electronics opens its booth at hall 11.2 with the third largest space (2,675 m2) of all participants. Along with its latest Built-in DVR TV series, LG shows more striking Plasma and LCD TVs belonging to one of the biggest Plasma and LCD TVs of the world, including a 102 Plasma TV, a 100 inch LCD TV, a full HD 71 inch Plasma TV and full HD 47 LCD TV. LG also offers attendees its latest emotional and artistic monitors, the latest car infotainment products, trendy mobile phones and many exciting experiences.

LG's new product line up and marketing strategy are supporting the fast growing company in Europe. LG is confident to establish itself as a strong player in the European consumer electronics market. Europe is key market for LG to achieve LG's vision to become global top 3 in consumer electronics and telecommunications by 2010.

'Change The Way You Watch TV' supports LG's new creative concept: Life's Good When You See Things Differently that has been presented in LG's international press conference at IFA on 31st of August. Design plays another major role in supporting this concept. Following the 2006 success of winning the red dot 'design team of the year' Award visitors will view LG's latest Award winning trendy products.

Highlights of its participation at IFA 2006 include:


Plasma TV with Built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR)

The 2006 EISA Award Winner LG-42PC1RR proves a leadership in Plasma TV area with Built-in DVR. The DVR has time-shift function that automatically starts to record live TV Program for 1 hour whenever it turns on or the channel is changed. It allows the viewers to pause and replay. Unlike a normal glass filter, its clear filter gets rid of reflection problems in bright room. It is equipped with a built-in 80GB hard disk which has time-shift function that allows continuous automatic recording in 1-hour intervals for up to 33 hours.



Full-HD TV Lineup

LG LCD TV 47LB2RF model offers full HD picture quality. The viewers can experience with true high definition resolution (1080p), which is 200% clearer picture than normal HD. The model has luxurious design in Noble Black color. It is equipped with LG's exclusive XDTM Engine and improves the picture quality with its 3D Noise Reduction and 3D Digital Comb Filter.

LG also shows the 102-inch plasma Full-HD TV prototype with a 2.07 mega-pixel resolution. The product boasts LG's latest cutting-edge technology, achieving the world's best high contrast ratio in 100-inch and larger product category. The television has been wowed audiences at exhibitions around the world, including APEC, CES 2006 and Cebit 2006. This model completes LG's Full-HD model line-up with TVs from 60 inches to larger than 100 inches, and strenghenes LG's technological leadership in Plasma products.



LCD Monitor 'Artistic Series'

The red dot Design award 2006 winning LG FLATRON LX60TQ Series are design-oriented LCD Monitor with the world's highest contrast ratio available in the market today with DFC (Digital Fine Contrast Ratio) technology. This model boasts with its contrast ratio of 2000:1. It saitsfies the user with lightening fast respond time 4ms (GTG) and unique aesthetic needs. It adopts a solid frame with glossy finish and blue light of LED botton which represents the figure of Egle Eye.



LG-V9000: The World's First 3G T-DMB Phone

Compatible with both T-DMB and DAB (Eureka-147), LG-V9000 is the definite all-in-one multimedia device. With its unique wide-swing screen, users can watch TV programs for up to three hours consecutively and can even record programs for up to one hour. Utilizing LG's own DAB/DMB receiving and AV decoding chip, this model provides perfect picture quality on a high-resolution screen. This phone also features a 3D surround sound system, mega-pixel AF CMOS camera, MP 3, TV capture and Bluetooth.



Super Multi DVD Recorder

The RH-200MHS, the 2006 EISA award winner, is the world's first Super Multi 250GB HDD built-in DVD recorder. LG's Super Multi recording technology supports all storage standards for DVD-R/DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, and DVD+R double-layer eliminating limitations in recording formats from the competitive market and maximizing user convenience.

The RH-200MHS allows up to 345 Hrs of recording time or approximately 170 movies, 230 football matches or 345 TV programs in EQ mode. This model also enables MPEG 4 recording, maximizing recording time up to 625 hours. All digital AV data stored in HDD can be conveniently rearranged into folders, easily edited and played back at any time and even transferred onto DVD discs. It can likewise perform time-shift functions designed to record and simultaneously play the previously recorded video.
