TIMED COOKING GUIDE

We love the kitchen, but no one wants to be stuck waiting there while food is cooking.
The advanced technologies of your new LG range let you set it, forget it, and still be ready to serve at dinnertime.

TIMED BAKE

*Available on select models

TIMED BAKE*

Worried you might miss the oven timer's beep? Use this feature to set the oven to cook for a specific length of time (i.e. BAKE at 300°F for 25 minutes). To set:

  • 1. Press BAKE. 350°F will appear in the display.
  • 2. Use the number keys to set the temperature (ex. press 3, 0, 0).
TIMED BAKE*
  • 3. Press COOK TIME. 0:00 will appear in the display.

NOTE: If your recipe requires preheating, you may need to add additional time to the length of the cooking time.

TIMED BAKE*
  • 4. Set the desired baking time (ex. press 2, 5). This can be any amount of time between 1 minute and 11 hours and 59 minutes. The cooking time entered will be shown in the display. (If you instead select Cook Time first and then adjust the Bake Temperature, the oven temperature will be displayed.)
  • 5. Finally, press the START key.

DELAYED–START TIMED BAKE

DELAYED-START TIMED BAKE*

To set the oven to begin cooking at a later time: (Example: to BAKE at 300°F for 25 minutes, beginning after a 45 minutes delay):

  • 1. Press BAKE. 350°F will appear in the display.
  • 2. Use the number keys to set the temperature (ex. press 3, 0, 0).
DELAYED-START TIMED BAKE*
  • 3. Press COOK TIME. 0:00 will appear in the display.

NOTE: If your recipe requires preheating, you may need to add additional time to the length of the cooking time.

DELAYED-START TIMED BAKE*
  • 4. Set how long you want your meal to cook (ex. press 2, 5). This can be any amount of time between 1 minute and 11 hours and 59 minutes. The cooking time entered will be shown in the display. (If you instead select Cook Time first and then adjust the Bake Temperature, the oven temperature will be displayed.)
DELAYED-START TIMED BAKE*
  • 5. Press START TIME to set when to begin cooking. The display will flash DELAY.
  • 6. While DELAY is flashing, use the NUMBER PAD or + or – buttons to set the time of day you want the oven to turn on (ex. press 4, 5).
DELAYED-START TIMED BAKE*
  • 7. Finally, press the START key. At the time you set for the oven to turn on, a short beep will sound and DELAY will turn off. The display will then show the oven temperature until it reaches what you selected, and then it will display the cooking time remaining.

SABBATH MODE

SABBATH MODE*

Ovens normally have an automatic shut-off feature that kicks in after a set number of hours. Sabbath mode allows you to override this to keep the oven on all day. When the SABBATH mode is activated, the oven does not turn off until SABBATH mode is deactivated. In SABBATH mode, all function buttons except for CLEAR OFF are inactive, and SB will appear in both the cooktop and oven displays.

To set the SABBATH mode:

  • 1. Press the BAKE button.
  • 2. Press the NUMBER PAD or + or – buttons to enter the bake temperature.

  • 3. Press the START button.
  • 4. Press and hold the SETTING button for three seconds. SB and will appear in the display when the SABBATH mode is activated.
  • 5. To cancel the SABBATH mode, press and hold the SETTING button for three seconds. To cancel the BAKE function, press the CLEAR OFF button at any time.
SABBATH MODE*

Changing the temperature while in SABBATH mode:

  1. Press the BAKE button. (No tones will sound and the display will not change.)
  2. Set the temperature using the NUMBER PAD or + or – buttons.
  3. Press START. There is a 15 second delay before the oven will recognize the temperature change.

NOTE

If the oven light is turned ON and the SABBATH mode is active, the oven light will remain ON until the SABBATH mode is turned OFF. If the oven light needs to be OFF, be sure to turn the oven light OFF before activating the SABBATH mode. SABBATH mode can only be used while baking (BAKE mode).
