LG Gram - Cannot Access a Particular Website

Try accessing the website using other web browsers such as Chrome, MS Edge, etc.
You can try to connect via a smartphone or another PC.

Causes and Symptoms

• Internet Explorer was used.
• Web browser settings are causing problems.
• Router issues or virus infection.

When using Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is no longer in support as of June 15 2022, so try using a different browser.
Try opening the website again using other web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge and etc.
To check if it is a website error, try accessing the website from another PC or smartphone.

Does the website access error occur in a particular web browser?

Try to access the website again using other web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge and etc.
If you can access it using a different web browser, then reset the settings of the web browser that was causing problems.

How to reset the browser settings on MS Edge and Chrome

At the top right corner of Microsoft Edge, click the More menu [ ] and [Settings].

At the bottom left of the settings page, click [Reset settings] → [Restore settings to their default values] → [Reset].

At the top right corner of Chrome, click More menus [ ] and [Settings].

At the bottom left of the settings page, click [Reset settings] → [Restore settings to their original defaults] → [Rest settings].

Scanning for viruses and malware

During virus remediation, boot failure or data loss may occur.

※ Make sure to back up important data in an external storage device before proceeding.

➔ Virus detection and removal using Microsoft Defender (vaccine provided from Windows).

In the taskbar search field, search for [ Virus & threat protection] and run [Quick scan] to scan and remove viruses.

Disconnect the power cable of the modem and wireless/wired router and then reconnect.

If there is a problem with the router, the access to a specific website may be denied, so try to restart the router and check again.
Disconnect the power supply adapter, then wait for about 30 seconds before reconnecting the power supply.

※ The shape of your modem or router may differ to the below figures depending on your service provider.

If the above method does not work, press the [Reset] button of the router to factory reset it. (Note that the reset button varies by manufacturer.)

※ Please note that the router password, IP address and so on will be reset to default.
