  • When cooking with your Over-The-Range microwave oven, place any food items to be cooked on the center of a microwave-safe dish. And position the dish on the center of the turntable for best results.

  • Be sure to stir or turn over the food as needed to thoroughly cook your food as the packaging directions state.

  • Caution! Never use or place any metal object, dish, or container into the microwave oven for this will damage the unit.

  • To reduce any food splatter or mass, it is best to cover your food with a microwave-safe dish lid when cooking with your microwave oven which can be purchased at any local grocery store.

  • Your LG Over-The-Range microwave oven automatically defaults to the power level of 100%.

  • The power level can be selected in increments of 10 depending on your cooking needs.

  • To reduce the power level: Enter your desired cook time. Let's say five minutes for example, enter 5, 0, 0, then select the power level button. And enter your desired power level percentage.

  • We'll press seven for 70% power then press Start. When the cook time is over, the microwave will beep to notify me that the cook cycle has finished.

  • Some recipes call for different cook power levels during different stages of a cook cycle, known as multi-stage cooking. You can program your oven to switch from one power level setting to another for up to 2 stages, 3 stages if the first stages the DEFROST cycle.

  • For example, 2 stage cooking: to cook for 3 minutes at 50% power. Then 70% power for 5 minutes and 30 seconds. Enter the first desired cook time. 3, 0, 0 and select power level. Then press by for 50% power. Then select cook time, and enter the second cook time. 5, 3, 0 and select power level. Then select 7 for 70% power. And lastly, press Start. For 3 stage cooking, the process is the same except with the added step of first choosing the Defrost button on your control panel. Then select your Defrost option.

  • Choose cook timer enter 3, 0, 0 or 3 minutes and select power level. Then 5 for 50% power. Then enter your final cook time of 5, 3, 0 select the power level button. Enter 7 for 70% power. And lastly, press Start.

  • Your cooking process will go through each stage of your selection. When the cook time is over the microwave will beep notifying you that the cook cycle has finished.

  • For optimum power settings, refer to your Over-The-Range microwave oven user manual under Cooking Guide for Lower Power Levels.

  • It is recommended to leave the turntable on when cooking but this can be turned off as suggested for larger type dishes. To do this, select the Turn Table On/Off button on the control panel and the turn table will turn off.

  • However this option is not available in the Sensor Cook, Kids Meal, Defrost, Soften, and Melt modes.

  • Sometimes when cooking the turntable can become hot to touch. Be careful touching the turntable during and after cooking. Use a kitchen mitt or dish cloth when removing any hot items from your microwave oven. Caution! Never leave your Over-The-Range microwave oven unattended while in use.
