LG Over The Range Microwave Oven - Cleaning The Grease Filters

Your grease filters located underneath your LG over-the-range microwave catch grease papers and particles while you are cooking.

For best performance the grease filter should be removed and cleaned at least once a month.
-
Do not let grease accumulate on the filters.
-
Begin by disconnecting power or unplugging your microwave.
-
Next locate the grease filters.
-
To remove the rear grease filters grasp the ring located on the bottom of the filter.
-
Slide the filter to the back and pull it downward.
-
The 2 grease filters located on the extendable hood require you to unscrew and remove the cover before you can access the grease filters.

Please note that the grease filters are not dishwasher safe.

Soak them in hot water and a mild detergent.

Scrub and swish to remove embedded dirt and grease.
-
Do not clean the filters with ammonia or corrosive cleaning agents such as lye based oven cleaners.

Rinse well and dry completely before reinstalling.

To reinstall the grease filter slide the rear of the filter into the frame.

Push the filter upward and pull forward to lock into place.
-
For the grease filters located on the hood slide the filters back into place and reattach the cover.

Do not operate the hood without the filter in place.
