Leveling - Front Load Washer

Troubleshooting Washers Last Updated 08/25/2015

The drum of the washer will spin at a very high speed; therefore it is important that the washer is level to help reduce noise and vibrations.

  1. Place a level across the top of the washer.

  2. Loosen the locknuts on all 4 leveling feet until you can turn the feet with the included wrench.

  3. Turn the bolts clockwise to raise the washer, or counterclockwise to lower it. Do this until the bubble on the level stays right in the middle.

  4. Gently rock the washer from corner to corner to see if it's really level. If you're installing the washer with the optional pedestal, use the feet on the pedestal, and keep the washer's leveling feet fully retracted and locked into position with the locknuts.

  5. Now that the washer is level from side to side and front to back, tighten all the locknuts. Make sure all four leveling feet are in firm contact with the floor.

  6. Run the washer with a test load to determine if the unit is leveled. Place around six pounds of laundry in the washer, press POWER, select RINSE & SPIN, and press START/PAUSE. When the washer starts running, check to see if there is any rocking or vibration during the spin cycle. If so, repeat the procedure starting from step 3.

  7. Some floor surfaces are too slippery to keep your washer from moving on the floor during unbalanced loads. If this is the case in your laundry room, we suggest you to install non-skin pads to prevent the washer from moving.
