LG “Love Care   Hand in Hand  ”

In conjunction with the LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd (LG) CSR Activity, LG had initiated the “Love ❤ Care   Hand in Hand  ” Programme (collectively “LG Flood Support”), to which LG will carry out free inspection and cleaning for LG Products that were affected due to the recent flood in selected area at Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang (Flood Affected Areas).  The main purpose of this LG Flood Support was to come together to help our LG Customers in their time of need.

LG provides its free inspection and cleaning services which is strictly only applicable for any damages on LG products caused directly by the floods, which are owned by residents at the Flood Affected Areas (as listed below). This LG Flood Support is not applicable for any accidental physical damage due to mishandling, e.g. cracked screen and/or product damaged outside the Flood Affected Areas.

The LG Flood Support is subject to the following terms and conditions:-

    1. 1. This LG Flood Support is only valid effective from 08th Jan 2021 until 28th Feb 2021.
    2. 2. This LG Flood Support is only valid in the following areas affected by flood recently, i.e. Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang (“Flood Affected Areas”):

      • Kluang
      • Mersing
      • Segamat
      • Kulai
      • Batu Pahat
      • Johor Bharu
      • Pontian
      • Kelantan
      • Gua Musang
      • Kuala Krai
      • Jeli

      • Kemaman
      • Dungun
      • Hulu Terengganu
      • Besut
      • Pahang
      • Kuantan
      • Maran
      • Lipis
      • Jerantut
      • Raub
      • Temerloh
      • Rompin

      • Bentong
      • Bera
      • Others
      • Other areas affected by the flood in Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang may be informed by LG from time to time.

    3. 3. This LG Flood Support covers inspection and cleaning services on the affected LG products. Repairs are strictly subject to availability of spare parts and customer will be responsible to bear the chargeable repair cost.
    4. 4. LG will not entertain any claims or request for any form of products exchange and/or refunds of cash for any damaged LG Products in the Flood Affected Areas.
    5. 5. This LG Flood Support is applicable for LG end user individual customers only. This LG Flood Support is not applicable to any dealers, resellers and/or distributors.
    6. 6. This LG Flood Support only covers inspection of LG Products, and cleaning on the damaged LG products (subject to the availability of authorized personnel) in the Flood Affected Areas, which was purchased in Malaysia and distributed by LG authorized dealers or distributors only. Any LG Products purchased outside Malaysia are excluded from this LG Flood Support.
    7. 7. Any repair works for damaged LG Products are subject to availability of parts at chargeable cost and subject to the conditions of the LG product that were damaged. The LG products must only be repaired by LG authorized service centre.
    8. 8. LG provides its free inspection and cleaning services which is strictly only applicable for any damages on LG products caused directly by the floods, which are owned by residents at the Flood Affected Areas (as listed above) only. This LG Flood Support is not applicable for any accidental physical damage due to mishandling, e.g. cracked screen and/or product damaged outside the Flood Affected Areas.
    9. 9. Free inspection and cleaning services offered are not exchangeable and non-refundable for cash. This LG Flood Support is not valid with other on-going promotions.
    10. 10. LG reserves the right to change and/or amend the terms and conditions without prior notice. In any event of dispute, LG reserves the right to make the final decision and no further correspondences shall be entertained.
    11. 11. LG reserves the right to reject and/or disqualify any repair request if in any event, LG has reasonable suspicion that there is any dishonest, fraudulent and/or unlawful conduct or behaviour and/or any non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions stated herein.
    12. 12. LG reserves the right to cancel this “Love ❤ Care Hand in Hand  ” Programme Terms and Conditions without incurring any liability.
    13. 13. For further details on categorization of the In-Home (IH) & Carry In (CI) products, please refer below:

      Carry In Products: Vacuum cleaner, Television (TV) and monitor below 32-inch, and home audio system:

      Customer is required to send in LG products to the authorised LG Service Centres located in Johor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. For more details on the location of the authorised LG Service Centres, please visit https://www.lg.com/my/support/locate-repair-center.

      In-Home Products: TV and Monitor above 32-inch, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, and Air Conditioner:

      Please call LG care-line 1300-822-822 for appointment booking, and LG authorised technicians will visit on-site to carry out inspection on the affected products.

      LG Scope of warranty after free repairs:

      Out-warranty repairs : if any parts of the LG Product parts was replaced by LG authorized service centre during the repair, the new parts installed shall be entitled to thirty (30) days Parts Warranty starting from the date of collection, AND all faulty parts that are replaced will be retained by LG authorized service centre.

      In-warranty repairs : customer will be responsible to bear chargeable repair cost for damages on LG products caused directly by the floods & will be entitled to the remaining warranty coverage after chargeable repair.

    14. 14. In relation to the “Love ❤ Care Hand in Hand” Programme, LG further provides Customer the option to purchase brand-new LG products at selected East Coast and Johor LG Brand Shops outlet. This Promotion is valid from 08th Jan 2021 until 28th Feb 2021 and subject to the terms and conditions.

    16. 16. In order to participate in this Promotion, Customers with damaged LG products must satisfy the following:
      • a) Customer is required to contact LG Call Centre at 1300-822-822 to lodge damaged LG Product due to flood to create a report (“Jobsheet”);
      • b) For In-Home Products, LG will send technician to check on the damaged LG Product. For Carry-in Products, Customer shall bring the LG damaged products to nearest authorized service centre which list can be found at https://www.lg.com/my/support/locate-repair-center.
      • c) Once inspection is done and Customer decided not to repair the LG Product were damaged due to flood at chargeable cost, Customer will receive invitation notification to visit any of the Participating Retailer to participate on this Promotion;
      • d) LG customer must provide and show to any of the Participating Retailer the invitation notification that will be sent via SMS / Whatsapp together with Jobsheet.
      • e) The invitation notification by LG is only valid until 28th February 2021.
    17. 17. This Promotion is only applicable to unrepairable LG product and/or if Customer decides not to repair the damaged LG Product subject to reasons being given to LG Call Centre.

    23. 23. This Promotion is not applicable for any accidental physical damage due to mishandling, e.g. cracked screen and/or product damaged outside the Flood Affected Areas listed above.
    24. 24. LG collects personal data in order to conduct this “Love ❤ Care Hand in Hand” Programme and Promotion to which entry is conditional on providing this personal data. During the Promotion Period, LGE or its appointed agencies and/or relevant third party merchant may collect customers information including personal information in the form of, among others, survey forms, redemption forms, interviews, audio recordings, visual recordings and photographs (whether on our own or by appointed service provided) taken during the Promotion. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure and processing of your personal information by LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd (“LG”), its affiliates, third party, business partners and/or service providers in order to conduct the Promotion, and in accordance with the LG Privacy Policy at LGE will also use and handle personal data as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.lg.com/my/privacy. A request to access, update or correct any private information should be directed to LGE.

By participating in this “Love ❤ Care Hand in Hand” Programme and Promotion, each consumer agrees to release and hold LG and its employee, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parents companies, affiliate, subsidiaries, licenses, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisor, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights claims and actions of any kind in connection with the “Love ❤ Care Hand in Hand” Programme and Promotion or resulting from acceptance, possession, or from any gift-related activity, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation , or invasion of privacy.
    26. 26. LG reserves the absolute right to cancel and/or terminate this Promotion at anytime without prior notice.
    27. 27. Both the above Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and in any event of disputes arising thereof shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Malaysia.
