NOT RECOMMENED. GOT A FAULTY UNIT, REPLACED AND GOT ANOTHER FAULTY UNIT. I PURCHASE MY UNIT SINCE AUG04, BUT STILL UNABLE TO ENJOY THE MONEY I SPENT EVER SINCE. IT'S NOT 70% ENERGY SAVINGS, IT'S 100%, SINCE I'M NOT ABLE TO USE IT SINCE PURCHASED. So yeah, you need to have a 10 year warranty, because compressors are faulty by manufacture.
I installed the unit on Aug09 with unusually loud sound so I asked LG to check. Unit was check Aug11 & Service Center (SC) said grounded compressor. The unit was replaced on Aug23, tested on the 24th & there's a continuous high pitch sound. SC came on the 25th, dismantled the unit & his assessment was: normal yan mam, pag umaandar ung compressor. I asked yung matinis na tunog?, Opo Mam, sa compressor yun. I replied, sa dami ng aircon namin, LG man or hindi, walang matinis na tunog ang aircon. He assembled the unit & later said it sa kaha ng aircon yan mam. I then replied if dahil sa kaha (which by the way, came with the aircon), dapat vibrating ang ingay, hindi matinis. Chineck ko bago ako tumawag sa LG, hindi nag va-vibrate ung aircon sa labas. So SC called their office on speaker phone & said wala akong makitang problema mam, pakinggan nyu po, the other party replied to check on few things which the staff said he checked & found nothing wrong. I forwarded the video of the high pitch sound (while the technicians were assessing the unit) to the SC's office. Ms Terry said she will coordinate with LG. I requested from LG Customer Service (CS) to speak to a LG Tech Manager; I want to hear it directly from LG that the sound is just NORMAL operation sound. I was told not possible to speak to LG Tech. Requested to speak with Customer Service Manager - as per Ms Lindel, there's no CS manager or supervisor on duty as Managers & Supervisors are on WFH arrangement, calls cannot be transferred to them & I cannot request for a call back either. I requested for a full refund so I can just buy another brand - pending LG's reply. CS staff said she will escalate my concern to LG Head Office & expect a response, if not from LG, from the SC. SC has messaged me that they will make a technical report & it's LG who will coordinate with me moving forward. LG has not personally reached out to me as of writing.
