Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for my need Added a sunroom on, 200 sq ft, with a 7 windows and a sliding glass door. Cools excellent. Leave the door open from the main house, leave the LG in power saver mode, can't even tell a difference in the temps. To me, it is just a little bit loud, but ok.

I have the LT123HNR now and the compressor went bad. Is the LT1235HNR the replacement and is the sleeve the same?

Asked by: Robert A
We regret the trouble experienced with this older air conditioner. The second unit mentioned should be a good substitute for the first. The wall sleeves should match.

How do I connect this, it has a weird looking plug . Is there an adapter or module I can buy?

Asked by: Almayayo
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Compare the power cord with the diagram on page 9 of the Owner’s Manual. Each of the different connections denotes a difference in the electrical supply. As such, it is NOT recommended to use any form of adapter with this connection.

2 fan speeds on window air conditioner LT123HNR

The AC unit comes with 2 programmed fan speed settings but is noisy with either fan speed setting. Can the lower fan speed setting be re-programmed and adjusted down to reduce the noise level?

Does the LT123HNR need a condensation drain kit?

I purchased this ac a week ago and installed it with its sleeve. I noticed that this unit didn't have a drain for condensation. When I started using the ac water condensation built up in what appeared to be a pan in the back left of the unit but it had no way to drain. I didn't see any plugs for a drain hole either. What is the solution for the condensation buildup in the back? Do you sell a drain kit and where can I buy it? Thanks
Asked by: Kenl
NeilE, I understand what you're saying but, as I stated in my question, the wall ac is installed in a sleeve. I see the cutout in the back right of the ac right where the coils are. I suppose this is where the water runoff would drain out. With the ac installed in a sleeve any excess water would drain from the ac right into the sleeve and this would become a big mess. Is there a solution for this wall ac, which is installed in a sleeve, for drainage. The idea is to get the excess water from the ac, through the sleeve and to the ground in as clean a way as possible.

Does your heat/cool thru-wall have a heat strip or does it have a heat pump?

Asked by: Bearcat
We appreciate your interest in this product. The LT123HNR has an electric heater built into the air guide. It is not a heat pump.

is the cord on the right or left side of the back wall?

Asked by: Anonymous
Cord is on the front right side. The unit is installed through the wall where most of the unit is actually outside, which is important because water collects in the unit pan from dehumidification. If the unit is not installed properly water could run to the inside of the room or in your walls.

Is this unit sufficient to heat and cool a 500 square foot area

Asked by: Steve
In most cases you will not have a problem (depends on insulation). I use them in my motel on the beach and even with the sliding doors being left open and the customers constantly in and out, I don't get complaints.

Can a through the wall be mounted on a window?

Asked by: Ray
Not recommended, as this unit requires an additional sleeve for the warranty. However, if you use a sleeve with the unit, it could work. Just be aware of how heavy the unit is and support it well. I have done it as a temporary solution but would be concerned with it braking a window if not supported properly.
