What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unstable under Windows 10 (64bit) I loved this drive while I had Windows 7 installed. It's very unstable under Windows 10 (64bit), sometimes it can detect the inserted disc, sometimes it can't. When it works, it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG is always my first choice when shopping. This drive is so easy to install and use! Dependable, quiet, and quick. I am glad that I chose to add it to my collection of other LG optical drives. The other LG drives that I own may be too old to mention, but are all still in excellent working order. To me, that speaks volumes! LG, Life is Good. Thank you for consistently providing quality products.

If the software is newer it will just override the older version you have installed.

Does this drive have a sleep timer?

I was wondering if this drive automatically puts itself into a sleep or hibernate mode. I am using this drive in a data center to install catalogs on an IBM PureFlex Server.
Asked by: Rooftop
This drive is designed to take power directly through a USB port. As such, if the computer is deactivated, then the power source of the drive will have also been deactivated. It will therefore not remain powered on.

Error - This disc is not an appendable disc for Power2Go

I'm attempting to use the LG Burning Tool to backup data files (music files) and get the error message "This disc is not an appendable disc for Power2Go, please erase it first." The disc itself is new and empty - nothing has been written to it.
Asked by: JMF1
Some discs have been known to have a small amount of usage data stored already, even when it is new out of the package. We would appreciate the opportunity to troubleshoot this situation with you. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance.

Can I use this device on MAC OS X version 10.7.4 ?

I already bought this device and I did not know that does not working on MAC OS, What should I do with it?
Asked by: Anonymous
The operating systems for MAC computers often do not support BluRay playback. The system might work for burning, but it is for this reason that most, if not all, of our BluRay drives are not listed as Mac Compatible.
