Rated 4 out of 5 by from Problem with knobs! Love the stove, but am on my 3rd set of knobs in 2 years and LG says they are not defective. The plastic piece inside breaks off the knob.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Initial look/performance is fading I bought this unit in 2011 because of its features and LG. Now the plastic knobs are cracked (just use, not abuse) and even the control surface black decals are fading even though they were mildly cleaned. We just purchased an LG refridgerator and hope it holds up much better than your gas cooktop has. Very disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Promise from LG Hey I'm a single guy ... and I have mentally struggled with forking over the cash - my old cook top was okay - it works - it cool looking. Nope. Trust Me - it's time and my suggestion is LG the LCG3091ST is awesome excellence in engineering. It's quick~HOT, my kids think it the new cool thing to cook on, and WOW my Pots and Pans are crazy~fun to cook with compared to what I thought was cooking before. COOL Blue lights are even awesome in the dark, perfect for turn me off, the five burners is nice addition, and LOVE the Stainless Steel look. It's what I would call the Perfect Promise from LG - delivered. Cheers to LG ... Donald in Sunny California

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Cooktop This cooktop is great in every way. Beautiful flame, lots of range in high to low, fast boil, good controls. We both cook on it every day with no problem. When sautéing, I cover surrounding burners with a couple pieces of tinfoil- much easier the cleaning them later. No trouble with knobs melting as they are covered with a small tinfoil barrier. I think people who have trouble with the cooktop had it installed poorly by a bad plumber. This happened with my last cooktop. There are many incompetent plumbers around who do careless work. Another good LG product ( we have their washing machine- also good ).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LCG3901st Unbelievable product. You have a wonderful design do not change a thing. The griddle plate is great,i didn’t expect that in the box. for a 30’ cook top it like having a 36’.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Excellent The cooktop that came with the house was a 30in and I was concerned that a top of the line cooktop would not be available in 30in. Wrong, the five burner is to nice for words and I am so happy that we purchased it. We purchased ours from ABT (Consumer's Digest choice). No sales tax and very small shipping charge.

Is there any way to refinish the stainless steel surface of my 30" LG gas cooktop?

My cleaning lady probably used Brillo instead of the plastic and gentle brush she was supposed to to clean the area around the burners. There are light scratches in all directions on the whole surface.
Asked by: Andy3
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this gas cooktop range. Unfortunately, there is no method available to re-finish the stainless steel. The only option that might be recommended would be to use a Stainless Steel polish that might buff out any light scratches.

What is the distance from the top of the stove and the bottom of the stove.

Our current stovetop has a unit height (not the depth listed in the specs...) of 3 1/4". That's the full height if the stove. We are having trouble finding a stovetop that has a 3" height. We have drawers directly underneath and do not have more than that to play with. Thanks

Hello, please take a look at the attached image. E = 3 3/4" D = 21 11/16″ J = 19 11/16"

How far below the top of the counter surface does this unit extend?

Somebody asked a similar question, but the answer did not really address the question. The answer said the unit extends 3 3/4 inches below the "cabinet," which is difficult to interpret. The answer says this measurement does not take into account the actual depth of the surface. What does that mean? Obviously, the top of the counter surface is where the unit rests, so I need to know how far below the top of the counter surface the unit extends so I can tell if the drawers will allow installation of this unit. Thank you

what size gas line needs to feed the cook top?

Does it need a 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch line to feed it.
Asked by: bigbossv1
We appreciate your interest in this Gas Cooktop. According to the instructions in the Installation Guide, it is recommended to have the installation of this gas line performed by a licensed gas installer or plumber. The connection on the inlet of the pressure regulator is a 1/2” NPT internal thread connection, and needs a 1/2” flare union adapter. Such specifications are listed on page 8 of the installation guide.

where does the gas connect?

If looking down onto the top of the cook top, is it on the left, right, front, back?
Asked by: ShaunM
We appreciate your interest in this gas cooktop and its components. The location of the gas valve should have been located by the licensed, professional gas installer. It is located below the back, right hand corner of the device.

Is there any type of collar for 30-inch cooktops?

The cooktop I want to replace is 32-inches in width. I do not have enough room to enlarge the opening for a 36-inch cooktop, so I need to get a 30-inch one. Do you make or know of any kind of collar that can go under it to use the 30-inch one? (Counter top is limestone)
Asked by: MartyC
As it turns out, LG does not offer a trim kit for cooktops, sorry for the inconvenience.
