What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BROUGHT THIS RANGE 5 YEARS AGO, NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THE CONTROL PANNEL. NO HELP WITH LG CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. NOW I NEED TO PAY BIG $$$ TO GET SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THE RANGE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would not buy this one again We bought this less than 5 yrs ago and the lower oven element has already gone out. I've never had this experience with any other range and I've used my ranges for many many years. This could be an easy fix if the element was not located below the oven making it difficult to get to. Also, the burners are hard to regulate making cooking on them harder than it needs to be. I have enjoyed the easy to clean cooking surface but I could enjoy that on another model too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful oven and great features I highly recommend this oven! It has accurate temperature control in the oven and stove top. The stove top is easily cleaned as is the oven. You can set a timer for your bake needs and an additional timer for other needs. The inside of the oven is beautiful bright blue and the exterior a great stainless steel. I am beyond happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best stove we ever owned! There is nothing I really don't like about the stove with the exception of the bottom storage drawer. It's just simply too difficult to take out and put back - you need to be an engineer. Control panel and burners are superb. Haven't used the oven yet but it sure is pretty. I highly recommend this stove to anyone. Great buy for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large capacity This range is very easy to use and large capacity oven. I really like the enclosed oven element.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features are good I love the roomy oven. It is larger than my previous range. The stove top heats up quickly and evenly. I wasn,t sure if I needed the warmer, but I use it more than I thought it would. The only complaint I have is that one of the stovetop burners appears to be starting to bubble.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value for Money. Bought this range on sale for a kitchen remodeling. Clean styling, good control of burner temperatures, and nice oven make this a good value for the money. Unlike most electric ranges we considered, after you turn-off the burners, the range actually indicates which burner is still hot ... so you do not have guess... all the other ranges in this price range just had an indicator light that one or more of the burners was still hot... the LG 3012 indicates which burner is still hot ... so you do not have the guess... you know!

When I try to use the SELF-CLEAN function of the oven, I get an F-2 error and it stops working. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Asked by: latinagirl
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this electric range. The F-2 error code denotes an abnormal situation with the Door Locking System. Press the CLEAR OFF button to clear the display and to stop beeping. If this message occurs again, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

How do I reprogram my electric range?

I'm getting an error message of P7 when attempting to bake. The manual instructs me to "reprogram" with the expectation this will correct my P7 message and my oven will heat up to 350. Please advise me how to reprogram my LG LRE3012sw
Asked by: JLo875
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this range. The only ‘P’ error message listed for this model would be the ‘PF’ error code, which denotes a Power Failure. There is also the F-7 OVEN NOT HEATING error code. It may be that this range would require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

Why are the burners are cycling and not staying on?

I have a brand new stove and I have used the stove a few to cook an egg. I have used the same pan and same burner. Two days ago for no apparent reason the burner will not stay on, it started cycling on and off. Why would that be? This is my first electric range of this type. Please let me know what I need to do or if this normal.
Asked by: Linnea
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this range. It is not normal for a range burner to cycle such as it does. This unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

oven liner

Can I use a silicon oven liner in the bottom of this oven? I really like these are they make drips and messes easy to clean. Here's the link to this type of liner http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?sku=13037604&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=COPFrcf41rUCFa1AMgodpgcAGg
Asked by: KitKat
I don't know if what I bought from Walmart or Target (don't really remember) was silicon but it works great. Just cut to size.

oven type

Is the oven a convection or conventional oven. If both are offered how can I tell which we have?
Asked by: KitKat
This is a conventional oven. Does not a convection oven have a fan towards the rear of the oven?

Can I use cast iron cookware on the glass cooktop?

Asked by: fnich
The product manual says, "Cookware with rough botomes can mark or scratch the cooktop surface". I would think that iron is OK as long as you don't slide it on the surface. I wouldn't think LG would be any different than any other glass top ranges.

The digital display for cooktop element temps...

I notice you only picture Hi and Lo. Does the readout actually indicate a specific temp? Surely there are more settings than Hi, Med?, and Lo, correct? Thanks! I'm probably going to buy this!
Asked by: Qbert
The surface controls go from Hi to Lo with a range between them in .5 increments -- e.g. 1, 1.5.2...). I found this a little off-putting in the beginning however you will quickly get used to it.
