What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Code F-7 means it doesn't heat. Our Model LRE30453SW in the house when we bought it. It was purchased in 2008. Two months after we moved in, the regular oven quit working. The convection oven however, was ok for about another week. My appliance repair person looked at it and said it would cost more in labor and parts than the stove was worth. I see so many 5 star reviews for LG products but we've not had good experiences with LG. They don't have the life expectancy that other brands have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed in cook top design. The stove top is very irritating. The largest burner needed to have a smaller burner within it. It is a really foolish thing to take up half of the front burner area and out of our 18 piece pot and pan set, only ONE fits that burner. The designer needs to be fired. The rest of the stove top passes as just okay. The touch controls are a waste of time. Setting them is a time consuming effort. A knob is simpler and with one turn you can set it to the temp setting desired rather than pushing the on setting and then the Hi or Lo, followed by numerous presses to get the temp up from Lo or down from Hi. This range replaced a 13 year old ceramic top unit that had a superior cook top design. However this unit has a bigger oven and the hidden bottom oven burner is a plus. The convection feature is excellent. A 120v outlet in the control panel would also be a nice feature/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's easy to keep clean! I love how easy it is to wipe up spills. The oven heats up quickly. We really think our new range is great!

Does my LRE30453 range have a bottom oven heating element? There appears to be none on the bottom of the oven.

The bottom of the oven does not appear to have a heating element, at least none is visible. Yet, biscuits cooked on an oven rack (on a baking sheet) that was placed low in the oven had burned bottoms. How does this happen if no heating element is close to the bottom of the baking sheet?
Asked by: Cracker39
We appreciate your interest in this electric oven. The heating elements in this oven are inside the cabinet, and as such, are inaccessible. Yet, they are still designed to heat as would an oven where they might be visible.

Why is the window on my stove showing an irradesent color

I have just purchased the LRE30453SW range and the whole oven window is showing sploches of red and green. Is this a defect in the glass?
Asked by: Ronniejac
We regret your displeasure with the appearance of the glass on the oven door. How long ago was this range purchased and installed? How many times has it been used? Typically, any such discoloration would be caused by spills from the cooktop leaking between the two glass panes. This is not a manufacturing defect

Was there a recall on this model?

I purchased this stove in Nov 2006. Every year about this time the start button for the oven stops working. The first time 3/18 08 the repair man got it working by moving wires in the back. The 2nd time 12/08 he replaced 6871WIN002A. Its gone out 2 more times since. Please tell me what the problem is.

Using the right cookware can prevent many problems, such as food taking longer to cook or achieving inconsistent results. Proper pans will reduce cooking times and cook food more evenly. Stainless steel is recommended.
