Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice features but not impressed with color balance Been using this TV since Thanksgiving and while the smart TV apps and features are good, I’m still constantly trying to adjust the picture levels to make it come close to either of the other 2 LCD TVs in our home or the plasma it replaced. The demo unit at the Costco looked much better and I would think I would have been able to get close to that quality by now. Internal sound is OK, not as good as others I’ve heard, even our cheapie LCD in our bedroom. Got an LG 2.1 soundbar with sub that greatly improves upon audio. Overall, for the price it’s a nice display but I’m starting to feel like im never going to be completely happy with the image quality for my personal preference (purely subjective). If I had to choose again, I might go with a different unit.

The bucket was dry. We attached a hose to the drain port in back, but that didn't help. The lead appeared to come from somewhere under the machine, but exactly where we can't tell. After storing it, we decided to try it again, because it was practically new and unused. The darn thing still leaks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a LG hater but this one Quit after two years I own several LG products, I have a large LG dehumidified in the lower floor of my Florida home and its been running strong for 7 years. I also own several LG appliances that all work great. When we downsized to a smaller place we purchased this smaller unit for the basement of our new home. Light weight, well designed, energy star rated, and easy to use. we thought the product would be a great machine for its location. Unfortunately by the second summer the unit has lost its refrigerant charge. Cost to repair exceeds the cost of a new unit. Researching the product it appears I have a lot# that has poor quality control so. Sad to say I will be looking at other manufacturers when I replace this unit.

Nevermind, I found my answer, which is "bring it in for service". Rather than do that, I just purchased another, but this one is a GE brand.

Bucket full light goes on after a minute although there is no water

It is brand new and the bucket is installed correctly but with in a minute the bucket full light goes on and item shuts down. IS there a problem with the item or is there something you should do when u first use the dehumidifer

For anyone who has this common problem. The float is on a lever, it is supposed to move up as the tank fills activating a micro switch for a light or just a simple colored indicator. You can use a spray silicone on the axis of the float. Work the float and lever to make sure it is smooth motion. Don't use Vaseline or a heavy grease, because it will cause it to stick. Occaisonly the lever is rubbing on the side of the tank or the lever, rubs on the side of the unit or the tank. I have gently adjusted the lever away from the side of the tank, but be careful it is plastic and can break very easily. Sometimes you can just work the lever through the full range of motion and work it into a smooth movement.

What is the proper maintenace for the LD301EL? How mant filters are there? Do I need to clean the coils?

We appreciate your interest in this dehumidifier. There is one filter on this device, which is accessed by removing the tank, then extracting the filter from behind the front grille. This can be shown on page 14 of the owner’s manual.
