What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Not what I expected - food stays on, leaves water spots, doesn't dry on a normal setting. Have used several different powders, liquids - no change. Seems like the materials used are cheap. SO DISAPPOINTED

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher I love this dishwasher. I love the third rack. This dishwasher is so quiet that you really can't hear it running. It cleans the dishes well and all the racks have dividers that are easily changed to hold different size dishes and pots/ pans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smarter than me I bought all LG appliances and they are super. My dishwasher is amazing and has so much space it’s hard to fill it up. So many great features, I love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Love the dishwasher but I only give it 3 stars due to the fact at 10 months old the exterior has rusted. LG of course will not cover the repair because they claim it is cosmetic. That may be, but the fact it has rusted within a year indicates something other than cosmetic is the cause. Of course, the limited warranty which was still applicable when the problem arose, does not specifically exclude cosmetic problems as does the extended warranty I purchased. I give 1 star to customer service for "stringing me along" from department to department and giving me hope that they would do right by a loyal customer (I own 2 LG tv's, LG washer and dryer and LG stove). I was even given a repair approval number for the work to be done but LG came up with a reason why their approval would not be honored as did the company who came out. I guess customer and product loyalty mean nothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really love the warranty I've had this machine for only a month, so it's a little early to comment on long term issues. So far so good. I am not having any of the problems that the one star reviews are complaining about. Fingers crossed! Machine washes and dries well. I've had no problems with items not being cleaned, not being dried or laundry pods not dissolving. What sold me on this machine is that LG has the best warranty in the industry. Hopefully, I will never have to find out how good they are on honoring their warranties. Fingers crossed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleans Great, But... This dishwasher is extremely quiet and cleans dishes great. However, it has the worst odor and it also doesn't dry dishes well at all. We have tried all recommended solutions to get rid of the odor but nothing works. Not having a heated drying cycle is a big negative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super quiet, learning curve... I am enjoying the new LG dishwasher, and it is super quiet. Dishes are coming out clean. The third rack (very top) has required some learning and getting used to. Would not say that our kids are up to speed yet, but we are trying to use this feature to full benefit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay This dishwasher is okay, nothing to go crazy over. What I don't like is the racks that hold the dishes always move or lay down so you have to set them up again. It takes almost 2 hours to wash a load of dishes too!

How do I do only a half load wash on the ldf7774bb? I've tried everything. I downloaded the manual also which wasn't much help. I chose normal cycle then hit the half load button. That lights the sanitize light and/or extra rinse. Not 1/2 load light

Asked by: Kschro
Hello, you should just select the cycle, then press the half load button to toggle through the options and close door to start. If this is not working, please give us a call at 1-800-243-0000. ^AC

How do you get 3rd rack out? I can only get it 1/4 way, so frustrating

Asked by: Jeanna54
Pull the rack out to the end of the rails. Then, lift the front of the rack so that the rollers clear the stop on the end of the rail. The rack can now be slid forward and removed from the rails. ^AC

Why does the blue light on front of door flash while it's in operation .  Model LDF7774

Asked by: Catevans
I have the same question . To me a flashing light indicates a problem. I've been told by Customer Support that the flashing blue light means normal operation.

My dishes never seem to get dry. What is the best setting to ensure complete dryness?

Asked by: JOSEVERSON
The Hybrid Drying System for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG Top Control Dishwasher w/ Height Adjustable 3rd Rack, Model # LDF7774ST is designed to effectively dry dishes without the use of a heating element and use less energy. After all washing and rinsing cycles are complete, the dishwasher heats the dishes with hot water from the final rinse. This water condenses on the dishwasher's cool stainless steel tub and drains away. At the same time, a built-in fan circulates air throughout the dishwasher's interior, speeding up the condensation process. The benefits of this system are that the hybrid drying technology dries dishes more quickly than air drying. Because it dries dishes quickly while they are still hot, it also reduces the number of water spots on glass items. Rinse aid is required to enhance the drying performance. If no rinse aid is used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish. Using the Sanitary Rinse setting will also aid in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used by the indicator on the rinse aid cap. 4 is the default setting, but if necessary, set the level to 5 so more rinse aid will be used. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened mid dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes...^IFV
