My lg bd300 plays blue rays but doesn't play dvd's. I tried resetting it but it seems to not be doing anything. I tried the holding the power button turning it back on and unplugging it. Just wondering what to do.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. If the drive can playback BluRay discs, but not DVDs, then it may be that the DVD reader could require cleaning. Please consider running a DVD lens cleaner through the player. If this does not resolve the matter, then the player may require service. my bd300 blu ray player says please wait

the only thing im able to do is watch the screen on the blu ray player scroll repeatedly " please wait". is there a way i can reset it. i cant seem to get any functions working with the remote at all. what do i need to do to fix this. or is this broken?

If the player has stalled and frozen, then it is first recommended to press and hold the POWER button for 7 seconds, until the unit deactivates. If this does not resolve the matter, then unplug the unit and allow it to sit for 45 seconds, after which time, reconnect it and test it again. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.

MAC Address for LG BD300 Blu Ray

I am trying to connect my bluray player to my schoool's internet via Ethernet cable and in order to do so the IT department needs the MAC address to the player.

Press the SETUP button. Select VIDEO and highlight 16:9 for the Aspect Ratio. Enter the numbers 1397139 and then press the ENTER button. A blue screen will be displayed which will have the MAC Address listed.

We appreciate your interest in this BluRay player and its features. The BD300 is not designed to playback videos from a USB drive. Connecting a USB drive will provide access to an MUSIC list or a PHOTO list. The USB is compatible with MP3, WMA, JPEG and PNG files.

How do I program the remote to work with the tv?

According to page 48 of the owner’s manual, you may operate certain, select televisions with the supplied remote control. While holding down the TV POWER button, enter the code for your TV, using the numerical buttons. Then release both buttons. The remote is designed for SINGLE-DIGIT codes, ranging from 1 through 9. Depending on your TV, some or all buttons may not function on the TV, even after entering the correct code. When you replace the battery of the remote, the code number you have set may be reset to the default setting (1). You will have to reprogram the controller.

Can I play Hulu Plus and/or CinemaNow on my BD300 Blu-Ray?

I apologize, but no; this BluRay player has not been designed for compatibility with either Hulu Plus or CinemaNOW. The only networking functions available to the BD300 are NETFLIX Streaming, BD Live, and software updates.
