Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well Arrived four days after ordering online. Installed yesterday on a new LG DLE7150W. Straightforward except for taping the connections, which was challenging due to tight spaces, nearby wires, and large hands. But it does the job--venting to the side instead of the rear--very well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works, but the Installation Process is Ridiculous We needed a side vent because of a small laundry closet, so I'm happy this was an option, but installing it requires a lot of patience and I cut my hands and arms several times reaching through the vent pipe holes to manipulate the duct pieces and tape. Long sleeves and gloves are recommended, but have you ever tried to use duct tape while wearing gloves? I recommend taping around the openings that you will be reaching through to make them safer. I can't believe that duct tape is the best way to secure the new pipes to one another after securing the first with a screw. If it was just a matter of sealing the seam, the process would not be nearly so difficult. Also, the removeable panel on the side of the dryer wasn't only held on by the tabs, so I had to hammer a screwdriver around the circumference to remove it. You'll see instruction videos online that show dismantling the dryer to install the side vent, which is the other option and might be safer, but might also void the warranty. Neither of the two stores we considered buying the dryer from would install the side vent for us. The instructions were straightforward, so I was able to do it, but I was cursing and practicing my calming breathing the entire time.

Is this kit compatible with a DLE3600V dryer

Ultra Large Capacity Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Front Load Electric Dryer with Built-In Intelligence, Model # DLE3600W lists the Side Vent Kit as Part # 383EEL9001B and Part # 3911EZ9131X is the alternative part number for the same side venting kit. Will side venting part #3911EZ9131X fit my LG gas dryer #DLG7001W ? I know the spec sheet for that model calls for 383EEL9005B but that part is no where to be found on LG’s site.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the error. The part number for the LG Side Vent Kit listed on the product detail page for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLG7001W is incorrect, it should be listed as Part # 383EEL9001B, and the LG Dryer Side Vent, Part # 3911EZ9131X is the alternate part number so Part # 3911EZ9131X will work with the dryer...^Ivan

I am having issues with finding the listed part number in our manual. Our manual for our model WKEX200HBA says to get the side venting kit # 383EEL9001B. Is this 3911EZ9131X kit compatible for our model WKEX200HBA?

The LG Dryer Side Vent, Part # 3911EZ9131X and the listed Part # 383EEL9001B in the owner's manual for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ with Center Control™ 4.5 cu. ft. Washer and 7.4 cu. ft. Electric Dryer, Model # WKEX200HBA are the same. Part # 383EEL9001B has always been used in our manuals over the years and Part # 3911EZ9131X is what is used when you order the LG Dryer Side Vent from our LG Authorized Parts Distributor affiliate. They list Part # 383EEL9001B as the original part number and Part # 3911EZ9131X as the current part number which is listed in the specifications for the WKE200HBA on its product page on our site, but both part numbers are referring to the same side vent...^Ivan

Can a side venting kit be installed on a dryer that is on a pedestal?

Regardless of whether you use the LG Dryer Side Vent, Part # 3911EZ9131X to change the dryer vent location to the left or to the right on our compatible electric dryers or to the right on our gas dryers, you can still mount our dryers that are compatible with our laundry pedestals. The tabs on the dryers for the vent openings are at the same height as the rear vent opening so stacking the dryers is not an obstacle. You just can't change the dryer vent opening to the bottom for obvious reasons...^Ivan

The LG Dryer Side Vent, Part # 3911EZ9131X can be used to change the dryer's vent location on LG's Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ with an Electric Dryer or on LG's Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ with a Gas Dryer. On LG's Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ units with an electric dryer, you can vent the dryers to the left, to the right, or to the rear. On any LG's Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ units with a gas dryer, you can only vent them to the left or to the rear. Right-side drying is not available on LG gas dryers. Left side and right side are from the perspective of when you are standing behind the dryer so the right-side will be on your left if you are standing in front of the dryer...^Ivan
