What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitor with one problem The monitor looks good, is sturdy and the picture quality is great. The supplies software is helpful in dividing the screen. The one issue is that if the computer or monitor goes to sleep, the monitor refuses to wake up. Turning off eco, power saving modes etc does nothing to fix the issue. A reboot of the computer is necessary. So overall a very good monitor. Be wary of the sleep issue.

It made reviewing and editing multiple documents so asy, gaming with a wide view so cool, and made it do I could watch a movie, while surfin the net... Now I can get nothing important done... with ease. :)

I can’t get my 34UM57 to acknowledge a 4K signal from my Xbox One X. Is there anyway?

Asked by: Pushpush
The LG 34'' Class 21:9 UltraWide® WFHD IPS LED Gaming Monitor (34'' Diagonal), Model # 34UM57-P has a native resolution of 2560 x 1080 and the HDMI inputs and DisplayPort input are HDCP compliant. They are not HDCP 2.2 compliant. In order for you to pass a 4K signal from your gaming console to the monitor, everything in the signal path muct be HDCP 2.2compliant otherwise the signal will not pass through...^IFV

What cables are needed to set this monitor up to get full resolution? Any recommendations for the best computer under £350 to hook it up to?

Asked by: Jack_Yaz
The cable provided in the box works well enough to get full resolution. You may have, however, to add a custom screen resolution to your graphics card's settings. In my case, my laptop (with NVIDIA graphics) had a max screen resolution set to 1920x1080 and I had to add a custom resolution of 2560x1080 in NVIDIA's control panel.

Can the stand be adjusted/pushed down to make the screen shorter?

Asked by: Sally123
It cannot. It can only be tilted front/back, 5 and 20 degrees respectively if memory serves me. Its height cannot be adjusted.

How does this monitor differ from the 34UM67 and what is the active Freesync frequency on this model?

Does Freesync works in the full 1hz to 60hz or is it limited to 48-60hz like the 34UM67p.
Asked by: Dredd3D
The FreeSync / Adaptive Sync protocol embedded as a VESA protocol into DisplayPort 1.2a and eDP (embedded Displayport) in both the LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide™ IPS LED Monitor (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UM67-P and the LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide™ WFHD IPS LED Gaming Monitor (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UM57-P is only active between 48Hz and 75Hz. The difference between the monitors is that the 34UM67-P in addition to the DisplayPort, HDMI and the 3.5 mm Headphone port also has a DVI-D port and an Audio In (PC) port...^IFV
