What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USB-C Connection just stopped worjing Purchased back in March 2022, and in Dec 2022, the USB-C stopped accepting input. HDMI worked, but the connection would be intermittent. Replaced cables and monitor adaptor on my Mac. I also tested with another computer with the same results. LG sent me new cables, but this didn't help. My only option is to send my monitor to LG for repair. I've never experienced this problem with a monitor before, and I've been using monitors for 30 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better and USB-c charging failed after 1 The monitor doesn't match well with Macbook resolution, the screen quality is not as great as advertised, and the USB-C integration/charging feature failed after one year, so it ruined it for me. It still can be used as monitor, but doesn't charge the laptop anymore

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for games It's a monitor with a problem with pixel reaction. As you can see in the video and in a taken picture a fast-moving object leaves a trace on the screen which makes moving text unreadable. So this monitor is not for games, action movies, or video editing. Unfortunately, I didn't know about this issue before purchasing.

Is this a LED or LCD monitor?

Asked by: Vett Renee
The LG 35'' Curved UltraWide QHD HDR Monitor with USB Type-C, Model # 35WN75C-B is both an LED and LCD monitor. All LED monitors are LCD monitors. But not all LCD monitors are LEDs. Kind of like all eagles are birds, but not all birds are eagles. The difference is simply on the backlighting methodology. Both types of displays use liquid crystals to help create an image. The difference is in the backlights. While a standard LCD monitor uses fluorescent backlights, an LED monitor uses light-emitting diodes for backlights. Standard LCD monitors employ “cold cathode fluorescent lamps,” also known as CCFLs as backlights. LED monitors don’t use fluorescent lamps. Instead, they use “light-emitting diodes,” which are extremely small lights. LCD monitors could be called fluorescent monitors if you wanted to name them according to their backlighting technology, which is how LED monitors are named...^IFV

I have a Macbook pro 13" 2019 model (2 - thunderbolt 3), will this monitor connect without an adapter using the included USB-C cord/connector?  Also, using on screen control, will the monitor split screen up to 4 for multitasking without an adapter?

Asked by: Duds
The LG 35'' Curved UltraWide QHD HDR Monitor with USB Type-C, Model # 35WN75C-B features a USB Type-C with 94W Power Delivery, 2 x HDMI inputs, and a DisplayPort input. ThunderBolt 3 adopted the USB-C format, so all Thunderbolt 3 ports are able to use ordinary USB-C cables. Thunderbolt 3 ports look exactly the same as USB-C ports, and indeed, the connector is physically the same from a plug-in perspective. Thunderbolt 3 has higher performance requirements than USB-C, so not all USB-C cables are of sufficiently high quality to work at Thunderbolt speeds. You can connect the USB Type -C port to either of the ThunderBolt 3 ports on your MacBook Pro using the included USB Type-C cable without the need for an adapter, but if you are connecting to the HDMI or DisplayPort inputs, you may or may not need an adapter depending on what type of cable you use. You will need an adapter if you use the included HDMI or DisplayPort cables for the monitor. With OnScreen Control (OSC) software you can customize your screen in a variety of configurations (2 Screen (16:5), 2 Screen (1:1), @ Screen (Horizontal), 3 Screen (Left) 3 Screen (Right), 3 Screen (Top), 3 Screen (Bottom), 3 Screen (Horizontal) or 4 Screen)...^IFV
