Installation
All the tape on the veggie drawer was not removed and I couldn’t open the drawer. I ended removing the glass shelf to reach and remove the tap to free the drawer. The refrigerator has good after that.

LG French door 28cu ft fridge is great
We purchased the fridge in September and installed in February (kitchen remodel fell behind). Fridge was easy to move and install. Great space and very versatile with shelving format. Door has cracked in the first month of use. We called into LG and customer support had a repair company out same day. New part was ordered and installed in a week and it is good as new. Great support and a great product.

Should the water line be connected to the treated water (soft), or to the untreated water (hard) ?
There is no requirement for connecting the water line for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS28968Sto treated water or untreated water. Whether you connect it to treated water or untreated water is at your discretion. Given the issues that can arise from hard water, it would obviously be better to connect it to treated water if possible. An overwhelming 85 percent of the USA has hard water, so the likelihood that you live in a state or city with hard water is high. Midwest states like ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, IN, OH, KY have a measurement of 10-15+ Grains per Gallon which is considered as being extremely hard water...^Ivan

What is the height of the produce drawers? In the picture it looks like an apple fills the entire height, which make me think a head of lettuce or cabbage won't fit.
Which images of the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS28968S are you looking at that shows an apple filling the entire height of the Crisper Bins? You can control the amount of humidity in the moisture-sealed crispers by adjusting the control to any setting between Vegetables and Fruit.
• "Vegetables" keeps moist air in the crisper for best storage of fresh, leafy vegetables.
• "Fruit" lets moist air out of the crisper for the best storage of fruit.
Most of your vegetables should go in the high humidity drawer, while most of your fruits should go in the low humidity drawer so you would not store lettuce in the same crisper drawer as fruits.
If you look closely at the 4th image on our product detail page for the refrigerator showing the crisper bins, you will notice that the left crisper bin shows a head of lettuce and peppers stored in it while the right crisper bin shows apples, lemons limes, and bananas that are stored in it. You can scroll to the 7th image to enlarge (zoom in) on the image to see what is stored in each crisper drawer more clearly. I recently bought this refrigerator and was told that if I keep the white bin in the top drawer of the freezer, it will make ice. Is this accurate? I've been looking for a bottom ice machine in the freezer, but haven't found one. Is this just for storage?

Smart Wi-Fi Enabled French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS28968S ships from the factory with the Ice Storage Bin properly positioned under the Automatic Ice Maker in the top drawer of the Freezer Compartment so you do not have to reposition it at all. The default freezer temperature is 0°F (-18 °C). Depending on which Which Control Panel you have on your refrigerator, you can press the Freezer button repeatedly to select a new set temperature from -6 °F to 8 °F (-21 °C to -13 °C) or press the Freezer button repeatedly to select a new set temperature from -7 °F to 5 °F (-23 °C to -15 °C). The icemaker will not begin to operate until it reaches its operating temperature of 15 °F (–9°C) or below. It will then begin operation automatically if the icemaker power switch is in the ON (I) position, so make sure that the power switch on the ice maker is set to the ON (I) position...^IFV

What is a glide & serve drawer? Are the bins on rollers?
The Glide N’ Serve™ Drawer for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS28968S is as the name implies. It is a drawer that pulls out smoothly, with the hinged plastic cover automatically lifting up and out of the way, and can be used for large party trays, deli items, and beverages. This drawer should not be used to store vegetables that require high humidity. The Glide 'N' Serve drawer has rail brackets that are located underneath the cover which will allow the drawer to slide in and out on the rails...^IFV
