How do I turn off the ice maker in the freezer in a dual ice maker French door model? Will it hurt the system by turning it off?

Asked by: Fathflfrnd
To turn the automatic icemaker On/Off, press and hold the Ice On/Off button on the control panel for three seconds. This will not harm the unit when turning it off. ^CP

Asked by: darla55
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 29 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS29626S is still showing as a current unit on the company site. How does ice plus work

Asked by: Moose 133630
ICE PLUS enables the freezer compartment to run at its coldest setting for a 24 hour period in order to increase the output of ice. This makes the compressor operate nonstop for three hours and increases ice production by up to 20%. ^AC

How come our refrigerator isn't making ice very quickly, in bother the freezer and side door? Also, we have an IO water filter and the water doesn't come out very well. Do we need to remove the filter?

Asked by: Sharyn63
The water pressure must be between 20 and 120psi. If a reverse osmosis water filtration system is connected to your cold water supply, then the water pressure to the system will need to me a minimum of 40-60psi. Additional specifications and suggestions for this matter can be viewed on page 21 of the owner’s manual.

We had this refrigerator installed Sat. The draw in the freezer has ice crystals forming on it (noticed this immediately) Is this normal? This AM noticed that the ice in the freezer ice tray was partially melted. Any idea what may have caused this?

Asked by: Emom
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is not normal for frost to develop immediately. Such can develop if there is an air leak in the compartment. This could also explain the defrosting. Check for anything which might prevent a solid seal on the door. For additional suggestions, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
