What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so great... lots of issues We bought this refrigerator to replace an older one in our home. Within a few months we lost all the food in our freezer due to the rear panel Freezing up. We could not keep as much as needed in the freezer. Apparently it’s only made for a few items which does not work for our lil family. Now most recently the compressor went out and we lost everything... and it took 6 days for LG to have it repaired and another 36 hours for it to come to Temp for safe storing Then there’s the fridge side... very deep and narrow and the lighting sucks. You can’t really adjust much. It’s looks like it holds a lot but you can’t really see in the back. The only thing we like about LG is the repair person in our area. I will never buy this style refrigerator again. Linear compressor.

The water dispense is very slow takes forever to fill a glass, is there any way to speed it up

Asked by: MNKK
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator and its features. The refrigerator itself has no functions or adjustments available to speed the water flow to the dispenser. It may be possible to increase the water flow by opening the water valve more. If this does not resolve the matter, then it will not be possible to increase the speed of the dispenser.

How do you turn off the open door alarm when the door is opened too long?

Asked by: Jwell
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator and its options. According to page 23 of your owner’s manual, when power is connected to the refrigerator, the door alarm is initially set to ON. When you press the DOOR ALARM button, the display will change to OFF and the Door Alarm function will deactivate.

We are looking into purchasing this fridge. Are the doors magnetic, meaning can we place magnets on the outside to hang our children's art? We are looking at the smooth black finish.

Asked by: Matt Shef
Yes, as long as you don't get Stainless steel.  Even the Stainless is magnetic on the sides, though :)

freezer not freezing foods

Hello, My LG refrigirator suddenly will not freeze meats in freezer. every morning there is lots of water at the bottom pan do to it defrosting a lot.. My question is, how do I remedy the problem. I have cleaned the dust in the vent cover under the back and the coil is clean. It still will not freeze.
Asked by: morjim
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It seems that the unit is running its defrost heater, and it dispersing frost buildup from the freezer compartment. If the unit is cold, then this should not be a problem, although you will likely wish to dry the water. If it is not, then the unit may require service.
