Craft ice maker is awful!
Within 4 months we had to get them to replace the craft ice maker because it made a horrible knocking noise. Now it's March, 10 months from purchase date and guess what ice maker has quit working again. I did what they instructed me to do, and it dropped 3 balls of ice and then started making the horrible knocking noise again. I've reached out and no reponse on fixing this one.

LRSOS2706D Why is the water tasting funny? Does the water filter work? I have had this refrigerator for two months so worried that something is going wrong. Thoughts?
Could you please clarify what "tasting funny" is? Has the water always tasted "Funny" since day one of the two months that you have had the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 27 cu. ft. Side-By-Side InstaView™ Refrigerator, Model # LRSOS2706S? Sometimes [the bad taste] may be due to issues with the water supply, plumbing, or mold or bacteria. Properly working filters remove all sorts of gunk from drinking water, including:
chlorine
volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
other possible contaminants, depending on your location and water source.
If your water source is particularly poor, one round of filtration may not be enough to remove residual odors and flavors that contribute to a funky taste. A smell like rotten eggs, sulfur, or metal cannot be a symptom of a failing water dispenser, but it can point to bad plumbing, a clog in the system or interruptions in the water supply. To figure out whether the problem roots in your plumbing system, water supply or the fixture itself, check if the tap water tastes funny. If water from all your faucets — not just the fridge — tastes weird, then you will know that the fridge itself is not the problem. It's your water. If utility workers have repaired cracked pipes or otherwise worked on nearby pipes, particulates may infiltrate what's normally a sealed system. Once the supply is restored, you may notice smells or tastes that weren't there before...^Ivan

Is the filtered water as good as purified water?

My door ice maker has stopped producing ice. Craft ice is working, water is flowing. Just not producing ice after less than a month. Any suggestions??

Do you have any error messages showing on the display for the refrigerator? Error codes are signals from your unit that it needs your attention, they display as letters and are found on the digital control panel. The error codes will indicate if there is an issue with the ice maker that prevents it from producing ice. Without an error code, we cannot determine what the issue is and you will need to schedule a repair service so a service technician can inspect the unit to determine what the issue is and resolve the issue...^Ivan
