  • Welcome to the LG customer support channel.

  • The LG French door refrigerator is packed with innovative and easy-to-use functions designed to provide you with a better kitchen experience.

  • In this video, we will show you how to utilize some of the different settings that come with your LG refrigerator.

  • Many of the adjustable settings for your LG refrigerator will be located on the electronic control panel which is located on the exterior of your refrigerator.

  • There are two ice functions available for the LG refrigerator.

  • When you press the ice selection button, the cubed or crushed ice indicator on the LED display will illuminate.

  • You can proceed to dispense ice after you've made your choice.

  • Using the control panel, you can also adjust the target temperature of your refrigerator and freezer.

  • Press the temperature button until you reach your target temperature which can range from 33 to 46 degrees for your refrigerator, and negative 6 to 8 degrees for your freezer.

  • The recommended temperature setting for your refrigerator is 37 degrees, and the recommended temperature for your freezer is 0 degrees.

  • Your LG refrigerator also gives you the option to change the temperature mode from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa.

  • You can do this by pressing and holding the refrigerator and freezer temperature buttons simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds.

  • The temperature indication icon on the display window will switch accordingly.

  • Another great feature of your LG refrigerator is the fresh air filter which helps prevent and remove odors from your refrigerator.

  • The fresh air filter has two settings Auto and Power.

  • To switch between these 2 modes press the control button adjacent to the fresh air filter icon.

  • The fresh air filter indicator will then display the current mode as either Auto or Power depending on your selection.

  • The capability to increase ice production is available to you with the Ice Plus function on your LG refrigerator.

  • When you touch the ice plus button, the ice plus indicator will illuminate and continue to stay on for 24 hours which is the duration of time that the refrigerator will operate in this mode.

  • After 24 hours, the function will automatically shut off.

  • You can also stop this function manually by touching the ice plus icon one more time.

  • Located near the bottom of the control panel is the light indicator.

  • By pressing the control button next to the light indicator, you can turn the dispenser light on and off.

  • The water filter indicator is located next to the light indicator.

  • When the water filter indicator is illuminated, it means that it is time to change the water filter.

  • Once you have done so just press and hold down the control button adjacent to the water filter icon for 3 seconds.

  • The indicator light will shut off.

  • The alarm function on your LG refrigerator when powered on is there to remind you if the refrigerator or freezer door is left open for more than 60 seconds.

  • An alarm tone will sound until you close the door.

  • This feature is activated automatically when the power is connected to your refrigerator.

  • However, if you would like to deactivate this function, just press the control button once and you will see that the alarm indicator is no longer illuminated.

  • The lock function disables every other button on the display.

  • If you press and hold down the control button for 3 seconds, the lock button will be enabled.

  • If you would like to deactivate this setting, press and hold down the button for another 3 seconds.
