Rated 1 out of 5 by from Usexpensive and useless I bought it in Canada 2 years ago. It has been used maybe 5 times in the entire time. The on/off works only now. I love my LG TV and my fridge. I got extra warranty from Futureshop but the stores are closed now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS PRODUCT IS A PIECE OF JUNK This product came with my television and I've had to replace it twice in two years. LG has discontinued it. I t should have never been put on the market in the first place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept! Lackluster execution. This remote captures an innovative idea: taking off nearly all of those pesky buttons on a remote and allowing the user to operate tv functions via a point-and-click menu. The remote is slim, lightweight, and fits well in my hand. However, the remote cursor seems to be a bit finicky. As I move the cursor off screen, as I motion back in the direction of the screen the cursor will capture my motion and react, regardless of if I'm pointing at the screen. In other words, the remote does well at capturing motion, but should combine that with a sensor that recognizes where the screen is and allows me to actually point at an object and have the cursor reflect where I am pointing (like a Wii remote). The remote allows you to reset your cursor's location to the center of the screen, but it is a hassle to have to constantly be resetting. Perhaps planting a sensor (similar to that of the Wii) internally in the television, or mounting a sensor externally on the television, would allow the remote to be more user-friendly. This is still a cool product, and fun to play around with. I especially like having a remote that I don't have to worry about accidentally sitting on it and changing the channel or switching the dialect to Spanish (the remote has a sleep mode and shuts down after a certain amount of non-use). I recommend this product, but only if you can get it at an incredibly reasonable price. I got my remote free with the purchase of an LG Smart TV!

LG AN-MR200 Magic Motion Remote for LG HDTVs with Smart TV

My Wand is no longer working... only function that works is the power. Are there any troubleshooting tips for trying to get it fixed?
Asked by: hamkha
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television and its remote control. It would seem that the controller needs to RE-MATE with the TV. It is recommended to replace the batteries, and then press and hold down the OK button for a couple of seconds. It is also suggested to check the USB cable connecting the DONGLE to the TV.

do you have a magic remote that works with 55LN5600 and 47LA6200

Asked by: bitameyer
We appreciate your interest in these televisions and their features. The AN-MR400 Magic Motion Remote Control is designed to operate with both of these televisions. However, both televisions require the interface dongle in order to utilize the controller signal. This dongle comes with the controller, when the controller is purchased from your local electronics retailer. Also, the controller is only able to pair with one television at a time. As such, it is recommended to obtain 2 separate controllers, so that a dongle will be available for each television. If you have additional questions in this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Which magic remote should i get for my tv lg 42la6210?

I need one that is compatible with it
Asked by: RodneyB
We appreciate your interest in LG products. According to our information, this model was not released within the United States. This model is frequently found in South Africa or the Middle East. As we have no record of this model in our domestic records, we cannot recommend a US model of Magic Motion Remote Control for proper compatibility.

Is there an update?

I have been using the dongle and magic motion AN-MR200 for almost 2 years now with my 42LV5400. It has been working perfectly until about 3 weeks ago. It now only works for volume, power on/off. I have tried reseting the remote and re-registering the remote numerous times but it the magic mouse cursor rarely shows and when it shows it wont move and times out. I have changed out USB cables and batteries also. Is this possible be due to a software update issue with the smart TV itself that is causing this? If so, is there another software update being pushed out soon?
Asked by: noiofnine
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced in this matter. There have not been any known updates that have affected the use of a Magic Motion remote controller. There may be a problem with either the controller itself, or with the dongle. It is recommended to contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to troubleshoot this matter.
