Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost good I purchased this tv in November of 2016. It has a one year parts and labor warranty. It has worked well for the most part until recently. When we try to power on now, the LG logo appears for a split second and the screen goes black. I've tried the hard reset as suggested by customer service, but nothing works. I was given service center phone numbers for repair (at my cost) I'm disappointed that this tv worked just shy of two years and now I have to decide whether I want to pay a repair bill or buy a new tv.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same issues as others have stated Just like other reviewers have stated my TV recently died with the three blinking lights of death. Repair man says a main board issue and the board repair would be a little over half of what I paid. To anyone reading this please stay away from derivative models like this TV on Black Friday they are made cheaply and in limited numbers so QC is not the best. Even reputable brands do this to get cheaper sales for BF. I have another LG that was a standard model when I bought it and it runs perfect after 5+ years. Went and purchased a new TV today and it was not an LG due to my bad experience with this set. Definitely left a poor taste in my mouth. Shame on LG for selling a defective product and it is interesting to see the number of reviews dealing with the same issue around the same time. Coincidence, me thinks not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from After less than a year and a half tv went out I bought this TV in Feb of 2017 and already stopped working. The red light blinks 3 times and nothing. No picture and no sound. I bought this thinking it was a good and reputable brand. I’m pretty upset considering I’m a single mom with 3 daughters and not a lot of extra money and can’t afford to buy another.Very disappointed.

Joel, I'm so sure. I have this set and it does not look like a Ips, when you tap it gently, it blooms, also the blacks are really pretty deep, also, on the spec sheet it is not listed as an IPS

My LGUH5530 will not turn on. The red light on the lower left corner blinks 3 times, but the TV does not come on. It is less than 3 years old. Is it shot?

Regrettably, the 2016 LG 4K UHD Smart LED TV - 50" Class (49.5" Diag), Model # 50UH5530 is a discontinued product and is no longer available for purchase and cannot be ordered. Although unlikely, there might still be retail stores that might still have it in stock. However, because it is a 2016 model, they probably will not be advertising it so you will have to do an online search to see if you can find it...^IFV
