Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Awesome! I have had it for more than 6 months now, no issues at all. Super clear picture! I am a big gamer and there is no issue with fresh rate on the PS Pro, PS4, or Xbox One. I have had all the systems hooked up to it. The 4K is breathe taking and extremely smooth. Couldn't be happier!

The network connection keeps dropping out.  Every time I restart the tv I have to search for the wifi again.  It does not stay connected.

Asked by: jmsLIC
We regret to read about the issues you are experiencing with your Network connection dropping out every time you restart your ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4K UHD Smart LED TV - 79" Class (78.6" Diag), Model # 79UF7700. This is an issue that is a common problem for a lot of TVs and is not restricted to just LG TVs.There are several reasons that can cause this to happen and will need some troubleshooting. A small drop in signal strength that is barely noticeable on a laptop or tablet can be enough to disconnect a TV and you may need to get a Wi-Fi repeater to help or you may need to change your router. Using a wired connection is also more reliable if it is possible to do so. Wi-Fi signals can be prone to interference from electrical signals in your walls or other devices. You may also want to try entering your SSID information manually rather than selecting it from the generated list. That should help in saving your settings so that the next time you turn the TV on, the network is automatically detected. You can also try changing the WiFI security on your router setting and go back to the TV and try to reconnect to your network using your selected security key. You can also try creating an LG user account (Settings->Advanced->General->Account Management). That will allow the TV to remember your WiFi settings. If you need further assitance, please contact our Customer Support at (800) 243-0000...^IFV

Will you provide web os 3 update to 79UF7700 2015 model?

Asked by: Jay P
We appreciate your interest in this television and its features. While there is certainly a possibility of a software update to allow WebOS 3.0, at this time, there is no indication that such an update has been planned.

Does this tv have a hdmi arc connector ?

Asked by: El Matatan
Hi I found this answer on a forum somewhere and it worked for me. In order to use the ARC features on the 7700 (possibly others) you must enable a setting in the setting called Simplink , the description makes it sound as though it's only used with LG devices. Not true you must enable it for ARC.

Just bought this tv..however the website is telling me that there is a 8-bit version of this TV and a 10-bit version. Is that true? What is the price diference?

Asked by: Trent2016
We regret the confusion provided by this sales website. All units of this particular model have been manufactured according to the same specifications. Our factory has not released any models with additional or enhanced features without changing the model number. As such, it is recommended that such sales sites be questioned for authenticity and reliability. It is also recommended to check our website at http://www.lg.com/us/products/wtb?modelId=MD05164344 for authorized dealers and distributors.

We wanted 3D features. The store rep said our tv is 240hz had 3D features and the remote has a 3D button. When I press it I get a message on the tv screen that this tv does not support 3D features.  Am I doing something wrong. And how do I know it's 240hz

Asked by: Jplatts
We appreciate your interest in this television. The specifications sheet for this model confirms that the device supports a 240Hz refresh rate. This TV does not support 3D programming. If the device was a display model, then it is possible the dealer provided the incorrect remote control.
