What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This washer is bad and LG service is terrible! I bought this set in September 2019 from Costco and have had nothing but issues with it. Costco’s delivery team swapped the hot and cold water during installation, a major issue which we didn’t realize was causing many of the washer problems we were experiencing until way too late (we thought it was a result of the steam function and just overall poor choice of machine on our part, until a pair of washable curtains shrank four inches and sweat and other smells started depositing on all clothes in a load). It took two LG repair techs to figure out the lines were switched and a third to realize the internal thermostat has failed and the control board is failing. The dryer gets lint caught under the screen, which eventually causes the screen to bend and catch clothes, twisting them into knots and ripping them in the process. Our dryer also has a rough spot on the inside where clothes constantly catch and rip, a problem that it was shipped with that LG will not acknowledge or attempt to fix. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with Costco, who has been trying to deal with LG, who just wants to keep sending out repair techs, in the middle of a pandemic, who won’t fix the numerous issues. We have thousands of dollars in ruined clothing and a washer that now makes clothes dirtier than when they went in. I haven’t been able to do laundry in my home for over two months while LG screws around. My machines are trash and LG is doing NOTHING to make this right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next level of cleaning solutions I just bought this washer. It washes so great. I bought the dryer set as well. This washer replaced my kenmore front loader. It was so bad the door keeps unlocking and locking and the drain wasn’t working. So I decided to get this washer. I’m just gonna say LG built a lot of effort to make laundry solutions. So I guess this is the best one on the market today.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bed sheets and other features I just got this washer and dryer. I washed some sheets and put them in the dryer. They emerged still moist, and were tied up in a bundle with multiple twists. The twisting was so tights, I could barely untangle them. Once i got that done with significant effort, the sheets were so wrinkled and still moist from being all twisted, i wanted to start all over again. I've tried to search for tips on how to avoid this (especially the fitted sheets). Has anyone else experienced this?

does this model have an internal heat sensor

Asked by: sizzle2009
Hi sizzle2009. We would need some clarification about what heat sensor you are inquiring about. Like all other washing machines, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer with TurboWash™ 360 Technology, Model # WM3900HBA has a thermistor which is essentially a resistor that changes its electrical resistance at varying temperatures. Thermistors are used in washing machines because their electrical resistance at various temperatures is known, it's easy for the washing machine to monitor a thermistor and detect when certain temperatures are reached. Thermistors are sometimes called NTC sensors or NTC Thermostats. Hopefully, that is the sensor that you are inquiring about? ^IV
