ENERGY STAR

ENERGY STAR is a widely recognized and trusted label on products that helps prevent climate change by meeting strict energy-efficiency requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). ENERGY STAR Products are third-party certified and subject to ongoing verification.

LG Electronics offers more than 800 ENERGY STAR qualified models in a range of product categories including clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, TVs, computer monitors, room air conditioners and LED lighting.

LG products across multiple categories -- from televisions and computer monitors to refrigerators and washing machines to air conditioners -- have earned the 2014 ENERGY STAR Most Efficient designation. The Most Efficient recognition criteria recognizes the best of the best in energy efficiency in their categories, among those that have earned the ENERGY STAR label, demonstrating exceptional and cutting-edge efficiency performance.

In 2010, the parent company of LG Electronics, LG Corp., announced its global “Green 2020” goals and strategic roadmap with a vision to reduce LG’s environmental impact while continuing to enhance the quality of life for our customers through innovative, eco-friendly products. In the United States, LG Electronics is implementing a number of activities to support our global corporate commitment to proactively respond to climate change. LG Electronics has committed to a 50 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for our U.S.-based operations by 2020, compared to 2008. Our base-year emissions have been third-party verified.
