We'd like to deliver the best picture quality for everything you watch right out of the box, but different picture settings work better for different types of entertainment. Your best settings for a dark Hollywood horror flick probably aren't the best for Sunday football. We know you bought your TV to get a great picture; the tips below can make that happen.
Finding the right Aspect Ratio
Calibrating and using Picture Wizard
Advanced LG TV Features
Your LG TV is great for all sorts of entertainment—digital cable, video gaming, and a host of other devices. If you need help setting them up, the diagrams below should remove some of the guesswork.
Most of what you'll be watching will likely be in HD, but some TV broadcasts are still in standard definition (SD). HD is viewed in the 16:9 ratio, but you may notice a broadcast showing up with two black columns to either side. This likely means it is an SD broadcast. If this is the case, you should adjust the Aspect Ratio to 4:3 in order to get the best possible picture.
Simple. Just select MENU and then PICTURE on your remote. Then select ASPECT RATIO. From here, just choose which one is ideal for your entertainment and select ENTER.
