Cooling Tips - Refrigerator

Operation Refrigerators Last Updated 08/19/2015

0°F and 37°F are the recommended STARTING temperatures, however these settings may need to be adjusted up or down according to your household's usage.

Factors that require temperature adjustments include the amount of food stored, how often the doors are opened and closed, the temperature around the unit, how the unit is installed, and how often food is consumed and replaced.

If you adjust the temperature settings, the refrigerator may take up to 24 hours to stabilize the temperature after adjustment.

Some additional tips to help achieve maximum cooling efficiency include:

  1. Food Items Blocking Air Vents

  2. Door Being Opened Too Frequently

  3. Hot Food Items Recently Added to the Unit

  4. Proper Leveling of the Refrigerator
