I am installing LT0816cer into sleeve axsva1 into a wall. Sleeve is 3.5 inches too shallow to fit the AC. How do I install?

Asked by: Anita998
We appreciate your interest in this wall sleeve and its design. While the dimensions may appear to be incompatible, the 2 devices should fit properly. The sleeve will fit flush in the wall, extending outside the structure. The air conditioner will slide into the sleeve, but is not flush with the wall. There is a portion of the air conditioner which extends a few inches back into the room. This is normal, and is according to design. wall installation

w hy cant a large window air be installed thru the wall using its outer case as its sleeve ?
Asked by: juno
The window AC needs air to circulate around the sides and the back of the AC. The through the wall models only require air from the back.

should the wall sleeve be installed level or slightly lower on the outside to allow water to drain

Asked by: thomm
Normal installation of a wall sleeve is level. The air conditioner cabinet insert is designed to allow for downward draining automatically.
