Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never sweat again! I bought this 16 days ago and it is awesome. It cools the room down perfectly and keeps it cool. My apartment building is very warm and this is perfect to counter the buildings mandory and inabilty to lower the temp in my unit. The only flaw to this product is that it is pretty loud but you will never be able to say you are hot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit, have to stay on top of filters and watr Second one in two years, works well. The sound from it helps me to sleep, like a white noise generator. Pulls the water out of the air at a high rates in humid weather. Placed my unit on top of an upside down homers bucket from home depot, then ran a clear tube from back of unit out of my vent window. No more water worries and my rose bushes grow like crazy below. Just stay on the filters, they clog like crazy. Keeps flow high. And Use remote as much as possible because the blister buttons on unit wear at speed of light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cools room quickly After 2 weeks the portable AC is doing its job. I hated cooling the entire home to 68 degrees so my wife could sleep better. This solved that problem. Only thing troublesome is draining the water. Seems to be built for Vegas weather, not Houston. After 8 hours it shuts off because of the need to drain. Plus the unit has to be tilted to drain tank completely. Not sure my wife could do this. Would be a 5 star rating if that water build up wasn’t annusfud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When the main HVAC failed, LG saved the day! My main AC failed so when my HVAC contractor offered to loan me his LG portable AC I was amazed at how well it performed in cooling not only my living room but the dining room as well. 10,000 BTU and measured air flow temp was 49 degrees Fahrenheit! I was impressed enough to buy a unit for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So quiet. I am blessed to be able to survive the heat this summer. My LG is a God Send! It does exactly what it is said to do - cool in a quick, quiet and efficient manner. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great unit I bought this a month ago and I'm so glad I did. I need an a/c unit for this room and a regular window unit won't work because of other furnishings restricting room near the window. This free standing unit is perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's nice but Overall I like this unit but I find it cools inconsistently. As the day gets hotter it looses it's ability to keep up and the temp creeps up about two degrees. I walk into our bedroom at night and it's much cooler (too cold even) on the same temperature setting. I also have major health issues and a primary immune system deficiency and found that after just one month of use it started to have a smell. Bacteria is growing in the bottom where the water collects. I just finished taking the case off and disinfecting the best I could but there are many places under the fan that I couldn't reach. It had sludge coating the entire bottom. Please LG!! Design a slide out drip tray that can be removed and cleaned after draining!!

Hi. I would like to know how long is the hose. My window is quite far from the floor. Also, in case the hose is not long enough, do you have extensions?

The exhaust vent hose for the LG 10,000 BTU (6,500 BTU, DOE), 115-Volt Portable AC w/ Dehumidifier Function and LCD Remote in White, Model # LP1015WNR is about 5 feet long. IT is specifically designed to the specifications of the unit and cannot be modified, lengthened or replaced with a longer hose as that would cause the machine to malfunction...^IFV

Do I need to set up the exhaust or can I “plug and play”

Asked by: Homeless medic
The exhaust hose for the LG 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1015WNR has to be connected and the unit has to be vented to the outside otherwise you would just be recycling all the hot air back into the room that you are attempting to cool. You can run the air conditioner in DRY (Dehumidification) mode without the exhaust vent hose attached. That will give you dehumidification without further cooling...^IFV

Where does the water go to fill tank?

Asked by: Willie B
The LG 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1015WNR does not require you to fill it with water. The only water that will be in the unit is the condensation that collects in the internal water collection tank while the air conditioner is extracting all the hot moisture-laden air from your room as it cools the room. When the internal water collection tank gets full, the LED display will show 'FL' and the air conditioner will turn off. At that point, you will need to empty the tank and restart the air conditioner after emptying the tank...^IFV
