Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the price Perfect for the price! It's working for few years already

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing This unit is way too loud, it rattles the house through 3 rooms when the condenser goes on. All of the outside plastic coverings make noise, too. Don't waste your money.

I have this unit. I've never changed the filters nor do I even know if it has filters. If so, what filters do I buy to replace them?

Asked by: Timmyt
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. According to page 21 of the owner’s manual, it is noted that the AIR FILTER of this model is designed to be reusable. Open the front grille of the cabinet in order to gain access to the filter. Remove this filter, and wash it using warm water lower than 104 degrees. Gently shake the excess water from the filter and replace it into the air conditioner. For additional questions, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Can a wall air conditioner be installed in the window?

Asked by: ricktlee
I cannot recommend to do so, you need a specific installation kit to fasten an A/C in the window frame and a wall unit is not compatible with it since it is designed to sit inside a wall sleeve.

Can this unit be installed in an already cut opening without the sleeve/chassis?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, thank you for your question. Manual of the LG LT101CNR Air Conditioner, Page 11: INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS "If you use an existing wall sleeve, you should measure its dimensions. Install the new air conditioner according to these installation instructions to achieve the best performance. All wall sleeves used to mount the new air conditioner must be in good structural condition and have a rear grille to securely attach the new air conditioner. (FIG. 1) With the LG sleeve (optionally supplied with your unit), you can maintain the best performance of the new air conditioner. (FIG. 2)" Manual Link: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/52/523e6b7b-e832-44b1-bd16-122d836c3f87.pdf Please let us know if this answer is helpful to you. Is this a quiet air conditioner?

This is being installed thru the wall in our bedroom so we want to make sure it is quiet before purchasing it.
Asked by: Leah
Hello and thank you for inquiring. Our specifications are subject to change at any moment without notice; however, this unit operates on a decibel rating of 51/60 [indoor/outdoor]. The lowest limit of ambient noise is 40dB, so you can imagine the low level of noise. To further express the noise level, you can refer to a bird call which is 44 db.
