Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money After doing my research for window units that provide heating and cooling, I went with LG due to many other positive reviews I read. I picked this one up for a small rent house and since the window it was going in was ground level, installation couldn't be any easier! The unit kept the 740sq ft. efficiency apartment comfortably warm with it being in the 20s outside. I love the fact it has a remote, timer, programmable thermostat and automatically comes back on in the case of a power outage. It has not been warm enough yet to see how the air conditioning works yet. Looking at some BTU charts, I tried to get a window unit that was more than the recommended size just to make sure the temperature inside will be nice.

I am planning on installing this unit in a wall as opposed to a window. Is there a Wall Sleeve I must purchase as well or...?

Asked by: willjepson74
I apologize, but no; this air conditioner has not been designed for compatibility with a wall sleeve. We would rather recommend the use of a model specifically made for wall installations. These can be found on our website at http://www.lg.com/us/wall-air-conditioners.

When in heat mode, should the unit's fan stop running once the temp reaches that set by thermostat?

Asked by: Alexander1951
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. When using the HEAT function of the machine, the fan is not regulated by the temperature setting. As such, the fan will run continuously.

No protection grill for fins on the outside of the ac

After installing the ac/heating unit we found that there was no grill to protect the outside fins on the rear of the ac. They will certainly be damaged with some protection. There are four places on the frame to insert a grill. Were they supposed to be included with the unit? If not, how do we obtain a grill.
Asked by: jazzy
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. No grille cover was released with this air conditioner. Such an accessory may be available through a local retailer. We have no particular accessory to recommend for this unit.
