Power Outtage

I purchased a LW7014HR. If there is a power outtage for a minute will the unit come back up in the mode it was last running and control temp.? If not does LG have a unit that does? In Energy Saving Mode does the fan come on every three minutes continuously for both heat and cool modes? This unit is for a cabin and it's located hundreds of miles away. I cant easily go there every time a storm causes a power outage. I am trying to control mold from growing so its mostly for de-humidification control. the existing hole is 16" high by 30" wide. I am trying to determine if this model will work for me or return it.
Asked by: Webster
According to page 17 of the owner’s manual, the AUTO RESTART is designed to allow the unit to run according to its previous settings, in the event of a power failure. This air conditioner is also designed for use in a WINDOW installation. We cannot guarantee proper operation in a Thru-the-Wall installation.

will this product work all year during all temperatures?

I'm curious if the outside temp needs to be above freezing for the heater to work. Also will the unit automatically shut-off once the desired temperature is reached?
Asked by: robL
Don't expect this unit to keep a space warm. I am learning that the hard way now.

Is there a screen for the back of this product?

I installed a Model LW7014HR air conditioner/heater today and it appears a screen goes on the back to keep insects out but my purchase did not contain this screen. How do i get one?
Asked by: MrKip
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner unit. Such a screen can be used with this model, as long as the air flow is not obstructed. The manufacturer does not produce such screens for this model. As such, no recommendations are currently available for this accessory.

How wide of a window opening is required to install this product?

Asked by: Nickname2
The AC measures 18 1/2" wide and 14" tall. Then it has the slide outs on both sides. I have one of them slid out 7" but I think you might get it out to 7 1/2 to 8" . With the unit being 18 1/2" I don't know if you could push the slide out all the way flush with the unit if your windows small. I believe if you need that answered, customer service might be able to answer that. Good luck.

Is the heating unit a heat pump or electric strip.

Asked by: regbmhuifkfits

What are the minimum window width and height? Why don't you list these in the product specs? The unit's width is useful but misleading.
