What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Went downhill fast I purchased this product a couple months ago. Initially it worked but it took longer and longer to load and execute DVDs or BluRay disks. Eventually it could not even complete the install from the drivers disk that came with it. It just makes a lot of noise like it is working hard but never gets anywhere. I filed for warranty (April 16) and got an email saying the replacement unit will be refurbished and that return Instructions will be sent to your email. Two weeks later, I have received no such email.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not So Great Well to be honest it wasn't so great of a product because mine ddn't last long it broke the back of the player broke & one of my DVDs got stuck I manage to get it out but after that the whole player just snapped in half. So I'm not too happy about this I would like to get another one hopefully later real soon.

Will this work to play Blu Ray movies on my LG U6450?

Asked by: Nickt83
Model # WP50NB40 will read and burn DVD’s and Blu-ray Discs. It defaults to ODD mode when it is powered on. The TV Connectivity feature will need to be added. To add it, with the tray open, you will need to press and hold the 'Eject' button for 2 seconds. (The LED indicator will turn on, switching to TV mode. Press and hold the button again for 2 seconds with the tray open to return to ODD mode). When you insert your disc into the drive, the disc file system will be converted to FAT32 and will be recognized as USB Flash Memory and you can select and play files from the drive and enjoy them on a TV...^IFV

how do I get the device to show the dvd

Asked by: pat 1957
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this device. This optical drive is a device which requires additional software in order to provide the playback of a video disc. Such software cannot be installed on this TV, for proper communication between the drive and the TV.
