What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product I bought this oven less than 2 years ago and today I woke up to find the glass door shattered to pieces. LG is now telling me that there is no replacement and there isn't anything that can be done. How can a product that costs so much be worth so little and how and a company like LG care so little about this customers and products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife Very Pleased!!! The recently purchased range is a BIG HIT!!! My wife is very pleased and is looking forward to prepare the first Thanksgiving Dinner with it. We plan to add a matching refrigerator in the not too distant near future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed The top of the stove works great, but the oven does not register the correct temperature. I have to constantly either turn up or down the temperature on the oven when I am baking. Also I cannot clean the bottom of the oven. I had a oven mat on the bottom and it baked into the enamel which I cannot remove. Will not buy another LG oven.

Hi how do I get the top off the stove off to check the burners

Asked by: Grock
We would not recommend removing the top of the range. If you feel the unit is not properly functioning, we would advised scheduling an appointment with an authorized technician. What is the split rack's intended use? I cannot figure out where it goes.

Asked by: KristyRose
We appreciate your interest in this electric range. This model was not designed with a SPLIT Rack. The OFFSET rack is designed for use either when baking with 3 racks, or when using the SPEED BROIL function. For more detailed information please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

what is the offset rack's interned use?

Asked by: jude7500
The offset rack is intended to be used in the even that larger (taller) items need to be baked on a higher rack setting. According to the owner’s manual, this can be most when needing to bake using 3 racks, as listed on page 22. This rack also should be used when using the SPEED BROIL function, as listed on page 25.

Oven door

Just purchased a home the lg oven door has residue dropped in between the glass on oven door.
Asked by: Sandkey
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this gas range. These glass panes are not removable from the door, for cleaning purposes. As such, if the glass panes have something between them, the only option for cleaning them would be to obtain the assistance of a qualified technician.

Why is the range top so hard to keep clean?

What is the secret to cleaning & polishing the cooking surface?
Asked by: taz54
I don't have an answer but I'm having the same problem. I previously had a GE ceramic-top stove which wasn't nearly as expensive as this LG, but it was a breeze to clean. My cooktop has cloudy areas within the burners that I can't seem to get off with the Weiman Ceramic Cooktop cleaner, the plastic scraper, the Weiman scrubber, etc. Is that your problem, too? I was told it's how I'm cleaning it by a technician, but I see that it's not just me.

how do you clean model # LRE3085ST

Asked by: buyer1354
Use ceramic cooktop cleaner on the glass cooktop. Other creams may not be as effective or may scratch, damage or stain the cooktop surface. Approved cleaners are listed on page 32 of your owner’s manual. The oven interior can be cleaned using the SELF CLEAN cycle. Why is LG's defect warranty only 7 days compared to industry standard of 30?

I reported dents on the stainless finish of my stove the very next working day after delivery during which time the stove had not been used at all . (Delivery was in evening with low light --the stainless reflectivity made it difficult to see small dents until the next morning with sunlight streaming). LG took 5 days to find a repairman, and then refused the repair claim because it exceeded the 7-day "cosmetic defect" limitation...5 days of which were taken up with their inability to find a repair service!

LG oven 6.3 cubic foot

Black flat top finish. My son and daughter -in-law bought this oven in a new home. We are unsure as to what product to use to clean the top. On the stainless portion, we are using a stainless cleaner that we purchased from Lowes. But the top seems more difficult. Water doesn't clean it well. Windex appears to dry it and not clean it. Please could you give us some ideas for cleaning the flat-top of the range.
Asked by: ChristineThieman
We regret your displeasure with the maintenance requirements of this dual-oven range. Once the cooktop has cooled, wash any oil / grease spills and splatters with warm water and a mild soap. Rinse the surface, dry it, and then buff/polish it with a dry cloth. If a stainless polish is needed, be certain to always wipe in the direction of the metal surface finish, as wiping across the grain will leave a cloudy/streaky appearance.
