What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Controls are a problem Love the range, BUT have had the controls replaced and have ongoing problems with them. When oven is hot, controls will quit working or different controls will turn on spontaneously. Sometimes when the stovetop is on, the controls occasionally turn on the warming drawer or oven lights. Sporadic and unpredictable. Also the solid black stovetop shows every tiny scratch or stain... High maintenance! I do love the convection oven and use it frequently.

I got this stove a week ago, was cooking Mac n cheese and it boiled over, and now my stove top looks scratched and I’ve been deep cleaning it for an hour trying to get it off. Will my warrently cover a new stove top ?

Asked by: 613griffy
Hi 613griffy. We are sorry to read about your mishap with the mac n cheese boiling over on your LG Freestanding Electric Range with Dual Convection System (Stainless Steel), Model # LRE30955ST. Regrettably, the warranty does not apply to scratches on the ceramic glass and that will not be covered under the warranty. Your warranty in Canada may be different from the warranty in the U.S., and may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. The warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary in Canada so you will need to contact the LG Support Center in Canada to inquire if they cover that under their warranty...^IFV

How to set oven for timed baking.  To come on at a given time

Asked by: DLLB
The BAKE, COOK TIME and START TIME pads control the Delayed Timed Bake feature. The automatic timer of the Delayed Timed Bake will turn the oven ON and OFF at the time you select in advance. To program the oven for a Delay Start and to shut off automatically (example for baking at 300°F for 30 minutes and starting at 4:30): 1. Be sure that the clock is set with the correct time of day. 2. Arrange interior oven rack(s) and place the food in the oven. 3. Touch BAKE. 350°F will appear in the display. 4. Touch 3, 0, and 0. BAKE will flash and 300°F will appear in the display. 5. Touch COOK TIME. TIMED will flash; BAKE, 0:00 and 300°F will appear in the display. If you want to change cook time, repeat steps 5~6 and touch START. 6. Enter the desired baking time using the number pads by touching 3 and 0. TIMED will flash; BAKE, 30:00 and 300°F will appear in the display. Baking time can be set for any amount of time from 1 minute to 11 hours and 59 minutes. 7. Touch START TIME. Enter the desired start time using the number pads 4, 3, and 0. 8. Touch START. At the set time, a short beep will sound. The oven will begin to bake. After the oven has reached the desired temperature, the control will sound Preheat Alarm melody and the oven light will flash in preheat alarm light. The oven temperature will turn off and setting temperature will be displayed. The display will show 300°F and BAKE. Touch CLEAR/OFF to cancel the Delayed Timed Bake feature at any time. When the Delayed Timed Bake finishes: 1. END OF CYCLE and the time of day will show in the display. The oven will shut off automatically. 2. The control will beep Cook End Melody. The first cook remind beep will sound after 60 seconds of Cook End and thereafter there will be Cook End Melody, every 60 seconds until CLEAR/OFF is touched. This information is found on page 24 of your owner’s manual.

Cord Not Included?

I am unclear as to what this means. The actual power cord that goes from the oven to the outlet or the oversized outlet it plugs into. Is it usual for oven to not come with cords?
Asked by: puzzledone
You can choose the electrical cord according to the type of outlet installed in your home (either 3 or 4 prong). This appliance must be installed and grounded on a branch circuit by a qualified technician in accordance with the National Electrical code ANSI/NFPA NO. 70 - latest edition. All wiring should conform to Local and NEC. This range requires a single-phase, 3 wire, A.C 120/208V or 120/240V 60Hz electrical system. Use only a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL-listed range cord with closed loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar terminations. DO NOT install the power cord without a strain relief. A range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 13⁄8” diameter connection openings. This appliance may be connected by means of conduit or power cord. If conduit is being used, go to [page 7] 3 wire conduit connections or [page 8] for 4 wire conduit connections. Installation Manual:
