What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very dissapointed I bought the five burner gas cooktop 3 years ago, the unit itself works great, but the numbers and icons indicating heat level and which burner each dial controls are getting erased each time I wipe down the cooktop. The LG logo is set with a different ink and it looks fine. Now one of the nobs has broken (they are plastic painted silver, not stainless steel like the rest of the unit). I have contacted LG to see if I can upgrade to a different cooktop, maybe different knobs, still waiting on response...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oven constantly breaks! 3 times replaced the upper thermostat over 3 years, first time due to self cleaning, last 2 times only because we were cooking normal meals. Never used the self cleaning again. Pray every time we use the oven. Now the 4th overall repair on a thermostat, but this time its the lower oven. You would think someone should get them to issue a recall of this product. It is truly an engineering design flaw. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'll never buy an LG oven again I've had the LG double wall ovens for about 3 years now. Fortunately nothing has catastrophically broken on either oven, but I have several major complaints: 1) After running the self-cleaning cycle (carefully following the instructions), both ovens have warped/widened so the shelves no longer fit on the shelf racks. 2) The meat probe function allows you to set a temperature for the probe, but when that temperature is reached, the oven is just automatically shut off with no alarm sounding. You have to be watching the oven to know when the temperature is reached :( 3) Preheating the ovens takes a LONG, LONG time. If you want to preheat to say 350 degrees, once the temp reaches about 335-340, it starts cycling the heating element on/off so that it VERY SLOWLY creeps up to 350. And occasionally the thermostat gets confused and preheats and preheats for 30 minutes or more. And even if I force the preheat temp to be lower than the displayed current temp, it still says "preheating".

How are the oven racks adjusted to keep them from falling?

The oven racks tend to fall from the rails when the oven heats up when baking.
Asked by: DyerKiev
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this double wall oven. Be certain that the raised end of each rack is placed at the back of the oven, which helps to hold the rack in place. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

what does error 9 mean on my wall oven?

I have a lwd3081st wall oven and the top one has an error message and it does not heat at all.

The F9 Error Code is displayed when the UPPER oven does not exceed 150 degrees within 5 minutes. If this error is received, then the unit will likely require service. are both ovens convection or is this feature optional?

I just ordered this wall oven and the salesperson didn't know the answer to the above question. I currently own a double oven where one is convection the other isn't.
Asked by: Copy
We appreciate your interest in this double wall oven. Both the upper and lower oven compartments have a convection fan present, surrounded by a heating element. Convection functions are available for both.
