What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for what it is I have owned this for almost four years now, and there is only really one issue: no support for satellite speakers. Initially, I know LG made an attempt to have an entire app and interface that would work similar to sonos, but that didn't work out and they seemed to have experienced a ton of issues with the stand alone speakers that would have worked as satellite speakers for this soundbar. Every person that comes to my house complains about not being able to really hear the voice parts of any movie or tv show. I could turn it up louder, but when action scene hit, it nearly blows you out of the room. I have tried many different settings setups and nothing can make the voices louder. IT NEEDED SATELLITE SPEAKERS, but never came with any. Because I am using tv/arc as my input, there is not way to add aftermarket or universal satellite speakers. I noticed a reply by social media team only 22 days ago. LG people, if you see this, can you please give me any suggestions for setting up sattelite speakers! If not, I am afraid I am going to finally breakdown and sell this one to get something that has sattelites included.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LAS950M I've lived with this soundbar for a few years now. It came horrible and remains horrible. I had to return it once for exchange because the subwoofer was barely audible. The replacement had a marginally better subwoofer, but it would not connect to the internet. I returned it to LG. When they sent it back to me, it still would not connect via wifi. Over the first 18 months or so the subwoofer has faded to barely audible, similar to the initial one. Overall the performance of the LAS950M is poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound My unit is almost 4 yrs old now. Still as efficient as when I first switched it on. The only issue is having battled to get the surround speakers. However the product is solid

How many speakers does this unit come with? The picture only shows the soundbar and subwoofer. Are all of the speakers wireless? I do not want to route wires to the back channels.

Can I connect a blu ray player to a pass thru hdmi port, to my tv?

Asked by: Lyonsmst
We are not clear on if your inquiry is with regards to the LG 7.1ch 700W Wi-Fi Streaming Array Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer, Model # LAS950M or to a Blu-ray player. The inquiry is showing the above mentioned Sound Bar which can be directly connected to a TV in one of three ways. It has an Optical Digital Audio Input that can be connected directly to a TV that has an Optical Digital Audio Output using a digital (Toslink) cable. It also has 3 x HDMI Inputs on it that you can connect to your TV if it has an HDMI Out on it. It also has an HDMI OUT (TV ARC) that can be connected directly to a TV. ARC functionality allows for upstream and downstream audio using the same cable if your TV supports the HDMI ARC function and has an HDMI ARC port on it...^IFV

Las950m.   So far so good.    How do I shut the display off so I don't have the led display staring at me while I watch tv?  It must turn off right?

Asked by: JayJayBird
We appreciate your interest in this Audio System. This may be an available feature if the System is connected to your television using one of the HDMI ports. This will allow a video feed to display, including the system MENU options. Access the SETTINGS menu. Select the SPEAKERS option. Scroll down to the AUTO DISPLAY ON/OFF setting. Changing this feature to its OFF setting should allow the display to turn off automatically when it is inactive for a time.
