My sound bar has dead spots while using optical connection

I have a NB3532A sound bar connected to a Vizio TV. I get random dead spots where the sound from both soundbar and subwoofer drop out for a few seconds and then come back. This is annoying. I double checked the connections making sure both cable ends are seated correctly. I also switched from opt 1 to opt 2 with the same result. I verified that the TV speakers continue to function normally when the soundbar drops out. I have connected the TV by audio connection through the portable port and do not experience the problem. Is there something else I should try to get the optical connections to function properly?
Asked by: MrRoss
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this TV and Sound Bar. It is recommended to attempt using another OPTICAL CABLE, and/or connecting the TV to another OPTICAL Audio Receiver for testing purposes. After both have been attempted, if the drop in audio continues, then a problem lies in the Optical Audio Output processors in the television, or in the Optical Wire itself. If, when connected with an Optical cable to another device, the problem is no longer experienced, then there is a problem with the Sound Bar itself. The unit will require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.

Xfinity remote code

What is the code i would use to setup my xfinity remote so that I can use that to control of the lsb306?
Asked by: jeb3078
All codes to be used will be located in the setup instructions for the Universal Remote Control. If you have experienced trouble in locating codes for LG, you may also try using Zenith or Goldstar codes, as some of these coincide with LG frequencies.

lost power cord can i purchase?

sound bar
Asked by: dmd1943
I apologize, but no; according to our product information, the power cord for this particular sound bar is wired directly to the internal Power Board Assembly. The replacement of such a cord would require the assistance of a service technician. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.

Will TV remote (42LV550) control sound bar volume? Or must I use sound bar remote? Is this true for all LG sound bars?

Asked by: edpguy
While the Television remote control does not have the capability of controlling the Sound Bar, the Sound Bar remote control has some buttons to allow adjustment to the TV. The TV is designed with a FIXED Audio Output, so it can only control its own audio, unless connected via HDMI to a SimpLink-enabled Home Theater System. It will be the same with all LG Sound Bars.

Can you connect this to bluetooth headphones so you can listen to the tv from them?

Asked by: DC315
The bluetooth streaming is to stream to the sound bar, not from the sound bar.

no base

I just connected the LSB 306 to my LG4750DC and after turning off the sound on the TV the sound bar has no base tone. The sound from the TV speakers is way better than the sound coming from the sound bar. I connected the optical cable as directed, am I doing something wrong? Doug
