    Fantastic Monitor
I bought this around a month ago, and so far, this is the best monitor I have ever used. The color accuracy is fantastic, and the wide screen makes it so easy to multi task. With all the things this monitor can do, it is a great buy for anyone debating whether or not to buy this monitor

    Changed my Work Life
In just 1 week I have noticed a huge difference in my productivity and the tiredness of my eyes. I had previously bought a 23" LG monitor and I set the 34" next to the 23". I am driving with a Mac Book Pro and I have its monitor open as well. Now I can keep different apps open on each monitor. One on the Mac, one or two on the 23" LG and 2 or 3 on the LG 34". Now I now longer have to hunt for an app when I want to search for information. The apps are all in their standard place.

    Excellent ultra wide monitor
I used to have a dual 24" monitor setup, but the bezels in the center of the monitors prevented me from looking directly at my content. With the 34" LG Ultrawide, this is no longer a problem. I have enough screen real estate for a Safari tab open to browse the net, and sidebars for mail, messages, activity monitor, and photos all at the same time... without the distracting bezels of a dual monitor setup directly in front of my vision. For video editing, the 34" screen is amazing. Even though ... read more it's "only" 1080p, images, video, and even text are sharp. Highly recommended.

    Good Product
Fit my purpose. Made it easier to work on large files from two locations. Easier for video editing when one is in landscape and one in portrait mode.

Great moitor for a great price
I'm happy with this monitor. It is clear and the colors are good. I don't understand why it keeps asking me to enable the milti-monitor support because I don't have two monitors, but I finally did it just to stop getting the message.

    Love the size and features
My husband bought this for me for my birthday. I have bad vision and I work at the computer 8-10 hours a day at work. I love the split screen and reader feature! The only thing I would change is for the height to be adjustable and the screen a little more sturdy-it’s very wobbly. Overall great monitor!

    Excellent screen
I was needing a “second” screen to use with my laptop at home, but did not want to spend lots of money in a screen. So, based on the reviews, I found this an excellent choice and decided to give a try. I do not regret, it is an outstanding screen.

    Awesome color, great controllers
Only had one day so far, had to return the first one I bought as it had a line on the right side. BB immediately replaced, and the second works just great. My family has a long history of LG products and their consistent quality.

    Great Monitor But...
I bought this a month ago. One of the features that they advertise on the box and on their website. (https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-29UM50-P-ultrawide-monitor) says it has "On Screen Control with Screen Split". This is not true!

    Where is the 2560 x 1080 Resolution ?
Most of my work on a computer is using spreadsheets. It took me two years to finally decide to purchase this wide screen model. The best resolution setting I have been able to get out of my Windows 10 desktop is 1920 x 1080. The monitor is nice and clear but I have 2" of dark bar on each side of the screen. Trying to find a fix for this problem on the internet just seems to take me in circles. :-(

    Overall fantastic performance and features
I bought a new gaming PC that is running a very fast processor and video card. Overall the monitor is a great match with G-Sync and the 144Hz performance. I did think this unit had RGB lighting on the back but it did not - that was a little disappointing.

    Great monitor for Everyone
I was super excited at the prospect of getting a new monitor. I’ve been into technology for quite some time, and getting a new piece is always exciting. I specifically chose this monitor because of its feature set, because compared to many other monitors of this class, it was a much better value. I looked at the HP Omen X 35, the Acer Predator X34, the ASUS PG348Q, and the Alienware AW3418DW, all of which have either a VA or IPS panels. I really considered the refresh rate a lot when making my ... read more decision. The LG 34GK950F-B checked all the boxes for me. It has a 144hz refresh rate, HDR 400 certification and Radeon Freesync 2. I didn’t really like the ASUS monitor and the Acer monitor because of how they looked, but the HP looked really nice. It has a VA panel, but I was willing to overlook it for the GSync support and the way it looked. All of the monitors listed had a resolution of 3440x1440 and a refresh rate of 100hz. The Alienware has an IPS panel and a refresh rate of 120hz, which was compelling, except when I realized that it was too wide to fit on my desk comfortably. That checked that monitor off the list. Then I saw this monitor. I wasn’t crazy about the looks, especially the red accents on the stand, but I consider functionality to be more important than the way it looks, and the high refresh rate of 144hz and the IPS panel made it a no brainer. I really appreciate LG’s OSD and the way it works. I like the joystick method of navigating over the buttons of competing monitors. On top of that, it has 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 HDMI ports. I really wanted USB-C because I was planning to use this with my MacBook Pro as well, but it’s not too big of a deal. The curve makes a big difference and the 21:9 aspect ratio makes productivity way easier. I play a lot of video games, including Brawlhalla, Minecraft, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. The high refresh rate of the monitor makes playing games much better and more enjoyable and the 21:9 aspect ratio allows you to see 20% more content than a 16:9 screen. The low input lag and the amazing colors make viewing content amazing too. I don’t have many complaints, because this monitor is extremely well built and offers lots of adjustments in the form of swivel, height and tilt adjustments. One issue that I had was a dead pixel on the right side of the screen. I was able to fix it by applying pressure to the panel. I also noticed quite a bit of IPS glow on the corners, which is to be expected, but is still worth noting. I’m also not crazy about the red colors, as I prefer to have my monitors be color neutral to match any setup. If there is one feature that it doesn’t have that I would really like is USB-C ports on the back. As I said, I use a MacBook Pro to edit videos and I would appreciate it if I could just plug one cable into it for video and power. Other than that, this monitor was amazing and I haven’t had any significant problems yet. I would highly recommend this to anyone searching for an ultra wide monitor with high refresh rate, and good color accuracy. I love using it every day and would highly recommend that anyone looking for this type of monitor to buy it.

I've increased my productivity by 20%
I purchased this monitor less than a week ago. The monitor is so large it feels like it should have it's own zip-code. This was an upgrade from the 39" model. I could not be more pleased with the productivity increase I've expereienced. I no longer need to fish through layers of open (but hidden) windows when working on large product design projects. As other reviews have noted there have been some technical issues but I'm confident LG will issue a patch soon. Most notable: 1. I had to ... read more upgrade my studio monitor cable to balanced cables to get rid of a hum that was not present with my previous monitor. 2. About once an hour the screen goes black for about 2 seconds and then flashes back on.

Perfect for editing cinema footage but...
Pre-ordered these a month ago and they showed up yesterday... In our office, we were using dual 34" curved LG monitors on each workstation, but have been waiting years for a more streamlined solution for our editors which work strictly with high resolution RED cinema footage. These new 49" 32:9 monitors are truly perfect for our needs; however, one update that should be made is the hinge-point on the back of the monitor. Any slight vibration on the desk will micro-shake the monitor because the ... read more single hinge is holding up a pretty wide and heavy screen. If there's ever a beefier "hinge/stand" update from LG for this model that minimizes "shake" I would gland purchase them. Overall, for the low price, these monitors are the best bang for the buck right now if your a creative professional.
