What people are saying
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical LG! I've had an LG 42" LCD HD TV for a few years now and have been completely satisfied with it. When I needed a full rebuild on my home built PC (including a dead monitor) it was a no-brainer to opt for an LG monitor. The colors on this display are incredible. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best picture for the price that I own. My old monitor was tough on my eyes. This is a low energy output, sharp picture, wide screen gem of a monitor. I wished I had bought two when it was on sale for my other computer. I will buy another LG monitor in the future. The stand could have been designed to be more sturdy but does the job.

I have recently bought a used 22ea53 monitor which was working OK for a couple of hours. It has noe gone dead. It was supplied with a 19 volt power lead showing 3.4 amp. The monitor shows 19 volt 1.3 amp, has caused a problem?

How do I remove the base from the monitor? I want to mount it to the wall but don't see how to remove the base? Thank you.

There is a small hole (notch) with a symbol of a lock on the back of the monitor but there doesn't seem to be anything in there.
Asked by: booboo
Place the monitor set with the screen side down on a flat and cushioned surface. Pull out the Stand Body and Stand Base from the monitor set. Turn the screw, on the bottom of the base, to the left with a coin. This should release the lock on the base and body. This information can be viewed on page 5 of your owner’s manual.

Linux Drivers for 22EA53 Monitors

I need a Linux driver, specifically Red Hat Linux, for the LG 22EA53 Monitors.
Asked by: darren13
We appreciate your interest in this monitor. The only specialized driver currently available for this unit allows compatibility with Window 8. For any other Operating System, the monitor will have to utilize Plug and Play generic drivers provided by the Operating System. We do not have any drivers available for Linux.

Hi I just bought the 22EA53T-P monitor your website shows it has a hdmi port but the unit I got, does not have that port?

22EA53T-P has no hdmi port was wondering if your website or my model the wrong one?

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this monitor. According to the website information, viewed at http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-22EA53T-P-led-monitor, this monitor has 2 INPUT connections: D-SUB/VGA and a DVI-D. The information in your owner’s manual, on page 4, confirms this information.

Does this monitor have audio support?

The monitor itself doesn't have an audio port to connect peripheral speakers, it only has the ac/adapter port, VGA and DVI ports. If that is purposeful then do DVI ports have integrated audio support like hdmi ports?

What is in the box?

What is provided in the box (in addition to the monitor)? A power cord? A video cable? (What kind - VGA or DVI?) I looked for this information on the LG website under "Technical Specifications" but there is nothing there (using 2 different browsers). More detail is needed. The box itself does not provide any additional information.
Asked by: Anonymous
There is, besides the Monitor, a power cord, a VGA video cable, and a base stand.
