The racks can obstruct the door and prevent it from closing.
Lets start by removing both the bottom and top dishwasher racks.
Now attempt to close the dishwasher door.
Does the door close?
No YesDoes the door move, or is it stuck in one position?
Stuck MovesBefore placing the racks back in, ensure that the rails are not being obstructed by anything.
Place the racks back in and attempt to close the washer again.
If the door still does not close, the racks may not be sliding all the way in.
If your dishwasher still does not close please Schedule a Repair.
Look to see if there are any obstructions between the door and the chasis.
Check the hinge to ensure there is nothing obstructing it, and ensure that there is no damage to it.
If you locate an obstruction, clean it out and attempt to close the door.
