How to Troubleshoot and Fix a Dark or Dim TV Picture - WebOS 2.0
Resolving a Dark or Dim picture is usually just a matter of adjusting settings. It's important to remember that picture quality is subjective, it all depends on your individual preferences, and that LG TVs continue to win awards for outstanding picture quality when compared to other brands.
In short, rest assured that you chose a great TV, now let’s see if we can get the settings how you want them.

Important HDR: For brightness issues related to HDR, the picture settings for these programs are embedded in the programs themselves, and are generally darker than other videos (allowing for clear contrast between dark and light areas of the same scene). Due to the nature of HDR, these settings cannot be overridden.
