This guide will help you understand how to use different LG air conditioner remote controls.

Note
- Your air conditioner remote control may differ from the image depicted in the user manual.
- Different air conditioner models may support different functions and features.
- Pressing a button on the remote control for a function that is not supported by the air conditioner model may cause a ding sound and the function may not be activated.
Art Cool Air Conditioner
Power
Turns the appliance on or off.
- Connecting to LG ThinQ
- Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to prepare the appliance for Wi-Fi connection.
Mode
- Selects the desired operating mode.
- Each press changes the mode in this order: Cooling → Auto → Dehumidification → Heating → Fan
- Connecting the Appliance and Remote Control
- Press and hold the Mode button for about 3 seconds to connect the appliance and remote control.
Sleep
Automatically turns the appliance off at a desired time. Use it before sleeping.
Display
- Turns the appliance's screen on, off, or changes it.
- Each time you press this button, the appliance screen changes in the order of cover screen and home screen.
- Turning the Appliance's Screen On or Off
Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance's screen on or off
Energy/Jet
- Selects the desired function.
- In the Cooling mode, each time you press the Energy/Jet button the mode changes in the following order: Energy Saving→Smart Care→Jet Cooling→Cooling.
- In the Heating mode, each time you press the Energy/Jet button the mode changes in the following order: Smart Care → Jet Heating → Heating.
- Turning Indirect Airflow On or Off
Press and hold the Energy/Jet button for 3 seconds to turn Indirect Airflow on or off
Temp. ∧∨
Adjusts the desired room temperature.
Fan Speed + -

Adjusts the fan speed
- The fan speed can be set in order of 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & Auto levels.
Pointer
Checks or sets various functions on the appliance screen using the remote control.
Sound Volume -
Reduces or turns off the notification sounds that occur when you set up or change appliance features.
Sound Volume +
Turns on or increases the notification sounds that occur when you set up or change appliance features.
Function

Plasmaster Ionizer: Ion particles from Ionizer reduce surface bacteria and other harmful substances.

Auto Clean+: Moisture remaining in the heat exchanger can be reduced by operating the appliance in a blowing state for a certain period of time.

Freeze Cleaning: Contaminants such as dust are reduced by repeating the process of freezing and thawing the heat exchanger inside the appliance.
- Sleep Timer: Sets sleep mode to help you sleep better.
- Sleep mode starts from 30 minutes and can be set in hourly increments up to 12 hours.
- On Timer: Sets the appliance to turn on automatically at a desired time.
- For On Timer, you can set the desired time in 1-hour increments from 1 hour to 24 hours.
- Off Timer: Sets the appliance to turn off automatically at a desired time.
- For Off Timer, you can set the desired time in 1-hour increments from 1 hour to 24 hours.

Cancel all Timer: Cancels all timer settings.

Smart Diagnosis: For communicating diagnostic information of your appliance.

LED Light: Turns on and off the LED light which is located on the lower right side of the appliance.
Reset
Resets the wireless remote control setting.
Open the remote control battery cover and then press the Reset button to reset it.
If the appliance system operates slowly or freezes while using the appliance, or if the appliance suddenly turns off, you can restart the product.
- Press and hold Power button and Display button on the remote control at the same time for 3 seconds.
Dual Cool Air Conditioner
Power
Turns the appliance on or off.
- Connecting to LG ThinQ
- Press and hold the Power button for about 3 seconds to prepare the statue for connecting appliance and Wi-Fi.
Mode
- Selects the desired operation mode.
- Each press changes the modes in this order: Cooling → Auto → Dehumidification → Heating → Fan
- Air Purify (3 s)
Press and hold the Mode button for about 3 seconds to supply clean, fresh air using ion particles and the filter.
Soft Air
Keep yourself cool without feeling a draft.
- AI Air (3 s)
Press and hold the Soft Air button for about 3 seconds to turn on AI Air.
This function enables automatic operation of the AC based on the surrounding environment and user characteristics.
Temp. ∧∨
Adjusts the desired room temperature.
Fan Speed + -
Adjusts the fan speed.
Up-Down Swing
Adjusts the airflow direction up and down.
- Direct/Indirect (3 s)
Press and hold this button for about 3 seconds to set either a direct or indirect airflow based on your preferences.
- Cleaning Mode (5 s)
While the remote control and appliance are turned off, press and hold this button for about 5 seconds to fix the vane for easy cleaning of the vane.
Left-Right Swing
Adjusts the airflow direction left and right.
- Jet Mode (3 s)
Press and hold this button for about 3 seconds to change the room temperature quickly.
Energy Control
Decrease the power input. You can control energy consumption.
- Mute (3 s)
Press and hold this button for about 3 seconds to turn off the beep sound.
Function
Selects the desired function.
Sleep
Automatically turns the appliance off at a desired time. Use it before sleeping.
- Light Off (3 s)
Press and hold this button for about 3 seconds to set the light off function.
Wall Mounted Air Conditioner 1
Fan button
To blow air from the indoor unit without changing the air temperature.
Energy saving cooling
This mode minimizes power consumption during cooling and increases the set temperature to the optimal level for a more comfortable environment.
Auto clean
During cooling and dehumidifying operations, moisture is generated inside the indoor unit.
Use the auto cleaning function to remove such moisture.
On/Off button
Turns the power on/off.
Temperature adjustment buttons
Adjusts the desired room temperature when cooling and heating.
Operation mode selection button
Selects the operation mode.
Cooling operation / Auto operation or auto changeover / Dehumidifying operation / Heating operation
Indoor fan speed button
Adjusts the fan speed.
Jet cooling/heating
Warms up or cools down the indoor temperature within a short period of time.
Air flow direction button
Adjusts the air flow direction vertically.
Light button
Adjusts the brightness of the indoor unit display.
Temperature display button
Displays the room temperature. Press button for 5 sec to convert between °C / °F.
Sleep mode auto button
Sets the sleep mode auto operation.
Timer button
Sets the current time and the start / end time.
Set/clear button
Sets or cancels functions.
Time [3SEC]
- Press and hold the Set/Clear button for 3 sec to set the current time.
- The AM/PM icon will flicker at the bottom of the display screen.
- Press ∧ or ∨ to adjust the time.
- Press Set/Clear button to finish.
Reset button
Resets the remote control settings.
Wall Mounted Air Conditioners 2
On/Off button
Turns the power on/off.
Temperature adjustment buttons
Adjust the desired room temperature in cooling, heating and auto changeover modes.
Operation mode selection button
Selects the operation mode.
Cooling operation / Auto operation or Auto changeover / Dehumidifying operation / Heating operation / Fan mode
Jet cooling/heating
Use this function to quickly warm up or cool down the indoor temperature.
Indoor fan speed button
Adjusts the fan speed.
Vertical swing button
Adjusts the air flow direction vertically.
Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to convert between °C/°F.
Horizontal swing button
To adjust the air flow direction horizontally.
Timer
To turn on/off air conditioner automatically at desired time.

- Insert batteries. (The icon below blinks at the bottom of the display screen.)
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to select the minutes.
- Press SET/CANCEL button to finish.
SET/CANCEL
To set/cancel special functions and timer.
To cancel the timer.

Displays the room temperature.
Press and hold the button for 5 sec to conveniently check the maintenance information of the air conditioner.
Energy control
Decreases the power input in steps.
Press and hold the button for 5 sec to display information on energy consumption.
Adjusts the air flow so that wind does not directly blow onto occupants in the room.
To turn on the ionizer to help improve indoor air quality.
To reduce noise from outdoor units.
To remove moisture generated inside the indoor unit.
Reset
To initialize the remote control settings.
