[How to enter Safe Mode]
➔ Does booting fail and the blue screen appear?
Try shutting down the PC once or twice. If the problem persists, then boot in Safe mode to try a system recovery:
1. On the [Automatic Repair] screen, click the [Advanced Options] button.
2. Under [Choose an option], click [Troubleshoot]. Under [Troubleshoot], select [Advanced Options], then [Startup Settings].
3. On the [Startup Settings] screen, click [Restart].
4. On the [Startup Settings] screen, enter the number [4].
5. When booted to Safe Mode, you’ll read [Safe Mode] on the corners of a black background.
6. In the search bar at the bottom left of the screen, type [msconfig] and select [System Configuration].
7. In [System Configuration] → click the [Service] tab, check [Hide all Microsoft Services] and then click the [Disable All] button.
8. Click [Startup] → [Open Task Manager].
9. On the [Startup] tab, switch every individual item to [Disable] and check if the PC boots successfully.
10. If booting fails in normal mode, then use the [rstrui] command to try a system restore.
In the search bar at the bottom left of the screen, search and select [rstrui].
11. In the [System Restore] window, click the [Next] button and select the date of successful booting. After that, click the [Next] button.
12. Below [Confirm your restore point], click the [Finish] button and then [Yes] to proceed to restore the time point.
Have you tried removing Windows updates?
The boot failure could be due to a problem with the most recent Windows updates.
From [Advanced Options], click [Uninstall Updates], then [Uninstall latest quality update] Uninstall items under the menu.
If the problem persists after following the above methods, then reset the PC while maintaining your files.
※ This method allows the user to delete Windows while keeping all personal files.
Please, note that, all user installed programs such as excel, powerpoint, Hangul and so on will be all deleted.
